I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, good benefits, weekends optional.

    Cons

Deceleration if not at 100 percent to goal, base salary is too low for industry average. Not a bad place to work can do well if you work in low income neighborhoods and apartments.

    Advice to Management

    Relax

The company is growing and is becoming an industry mover and shaker.

    Cons

With growth, sometimes there are growing pains. You have to be willing to work your way through some of the organizational changes.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As far as cable companies go, it's probably the least soulless. The people seem to be okay. Decent starting pay, and the bonus structure is very friendly if you like sales.

    Cons

They DEFINITELY downplay the role of sales, to the point they said when I started that it's not a sales based job, but once you started all that happens is people breathing down your neck asking you to sell more things to people who don't want them. They ultimately do not care about their customers and I have seen some very good reps let go in my time for some minor things.

    Advice to Management

Give your reps some room. Hire some more people.

I worked at Wave Broadband (More than a year)

    Pros

$300/month bonus for first three months. Free bus pass for anywhere and anytime and you can con them into getting a parking pass too

    Cons

Not a place to meet a decent looking girl. Mandatory overtime, bad schedules.

    Advice to Management

Change late/tardy policy to prevent a revolving door. Good employees are worth giving slack than 30 seconds late from a break or lunch.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with various people in the community. Its a good job if your self reliant. A person can move up within the company.

    Cons

Everyone is not on the same page. Managment isn't in touch with what is really going on in there markets.

    Advice to Management

The lack of motovation and support is really lacking. If these can be turned around the crew would have more positive outlook on things.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent healthcare benefits, perks that are not really helpful.

    Cons

Punitive leave policy, horrible work environment, management is incompetent and engages in cronyism, you cant survive on the pay, commission is not at all what they say it is and they can take it away after you have earned it as a punishment, company has deceitful billing practices that cause constant escalations with customers, forced overtime, micromanaging that is weird and scary. HR is incompetent and allows management to implement illegal polices, and the silly prize system they have is for children...not adults who are trying to feed their families.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company to someone who knows what they are doing. It's not a toy.

    Advice to Management

Sell already. All you want is to get bought, just admit it for 💩 sake. Don't Trump it with Alternative Facts you chumps.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time

    Pros

Free food randomly provided by management, and pay check every 2 weeks.

    Cons

Too many cons!!!! Be ready for 10 minute walk because parking is bad due to construction, and not enough disabled person parking. Also seems management doesnt know what is actually going on, they dont on focus on the root of the problems even when the obvious is being handed to them. It does not help that the supervisor for the TSR dept has NO TSR training!!! Also it appears there is heavy favoritism from management towards women who accept the managers sexual advances which makes the workplace environment especially awkward. Workplace is filthy, the janitors only cleab the bathroom which means shared desks and other shared spaces are incredibly filthy, viruses spread very quickly there and are allowed to mutate. Pay is NOT competitive especially if you have worked there more than a year, raises are a slap in the face 5cents per year after you worked so hard to be above standard.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people who actually interact with the customers directly and who have real insights with real issues. And please be humane with your employees, the place is crowded, few hav assigned desks, no one actually cleans their desk after use, so the least you could do is have the janitors clean the desks at night when most have left. And please be a little more thoughtful with your raises, if someone gives more than standard performance give them a more meaningful raise. Also if you are starting level 1 new people at $17 please raise your senior reps to atleast that. This is the only company i've ever known that pays senior reps $2 or more an hour LESS than new people coming in. And please please please listen to the cries of your field techs!!! They are suffering the most!!!! Being over worked with not just one hour of forced ot but 2 or more PER DAY!!! They have families too!!!
