I worked at Wave Broadband (More than a year)

    Pros

$300/month bonus for first three months. Free bus pass for anywhere and anytime and you can con them into getting a parking pass too

    Cons

Not a place to meet a decent looking girl. Mandatory overtime, bad schedules.

    Advice to Management

Change late/tardy policy to prevent a revolving door. Good employees are worth giving slack than 30 seconds late from a break or lunch.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Since it's a "smaller" broadband company you get to know everyone fairly well.. The people you work with are usually what makes this job worth wild.

    Cons

Pay. The pay here is awful. Although they say it's "market value" you can easily get a job for say Comcast and start off at a higher rate. Due to this, the turnover here is apparent. Since this is a smaller company, don't expect a big raise every year. Raises are yearly and if anything are a max of 3-5% which in the grand scheme of things might equal anywhere from $0.25-0.50....think about that....50 cents??? The cost of living goes up much more than that and the raises are horrible. Regardless of how long you work for the company, your compensation will always lack. No reward for loyalty and tenure.

You will also wear many hats working for this company, which isn't a horrible thing until they start skimping on employees and sticking duties to other people so they don't have to hire for that position.

There isn't much room for growth overall, so use this as a stepping stone to something else.

    Advice to Management

Fair pay. Incremental raises, not just maybe 50 cents a year if you're lucky. Condensed schedules - at least make it worth it to some of your employees that it's possible to have a condensed schedule. Better benefits.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good starting place if you have no experience

    Cons

Stress of dealing with customers and intense tardy policy, Performance based compensation makes you do the job faster, but doesn't necessarily help the customer out the most.

    Advice to Management

Second tier tends to not support first tier. Some do, but not all

The people are great. Really enjoyed the teamwork, especially when focused on achieving a common goal.

Lack of/Zero processes. Five subsidiary companies selling against each other versus the real competition. No internal cooperation/communications.
