    Cons

5 word minimum ....ok, nothing comes to mind

    Advice to Management

Worked with a lot of great people.

    Cons

The company has no interest in paying people based on industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they are worth, not what you can get away with.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pizza - Feed you to keep you at your desk

    Cons

Leadership is really demanding and do not recognize technicians and engineers. The pay is extremely poor. They promote people just to promote. There is no training and you are expected to work extremely long hours and be available at all times 24 hours a day. They do not like you to take time off and you are expected to be working even when you are scheduled off. Everyone is a cast off from or friends from other companies. All the equipment is old and working conditions are very bad. People are always sick.

    Advice to Management

Management and leadership need to leave. You fire and hire when you feel like it and are not trustworthy.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    +You work in an office
+Most of your coworkers are nice.
    +Free coffee
    +Health insurance
    +Food Vending Machines
    +Performance bonuses
    +The company values "empathy"

    Cons

-The office is old and full of aerial contaminants
-Poor ventilation, people get sick in..."Waves"
-If you can't prove you're sick, and miss 3+ days: You're fired
-The food in the vending machines are overpriced and bland
-The performance bonus expectations are unreasonable and aren't actually based on actual employee performance
-People game the tools used to monitor performance (probably because of the above)
-The customers are mean and/or unreasonable.
-The managers and their minions are often overworked, causing them to be pretty apathetic.
-It's 24/7 so work hours are prone to radical changes.
-The equipment they use to service people are mediocre and often refurbished.
-You'll see coworkers that you get accustomed be mistreated on a daily basis, and then you'll see them turn from a good person to a horrible or apathetic person.
-They'll try to get you to work for $12/hour, so negotiate up
-Not many other positions to move up to
-The company only uses empathy for their PR marketing campaigns

    Pros

    Great medical, full time hours

    Cons

Puts WAY to much emphasis on sales, not on customer service. Makes it sound like your jobs is on the line if you don't make conversion rate/sales

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Lots of hours to work.

    Cons

Executives have the mindset of making money over everything...this company chews through lower level employees because of it.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company. Cable TV is going the way of the dinosaur. Treat your employees with some respect, because they are the people making those dollars for your company.

    Pros

    Extremely intelligent, helpful, competent people.

    Cons

Acquisition environment is stressful, cost- cutting makes meeting goals a challenge, acknowledged under-staffing makes it hard to get things done quickly. Pay is relatively low

    Advice to Management

Lowered stress levels means better work output from employees; better compensation ultimate results in better productivity.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Got to experience a lot of new things in the business world. People getting fired left and right while everyone else is trying to find new jobs elsewhere, so there is a lot of opportunity. If you are naturally optimistic, your manager will have you write a positive review on Glassdoor. I got to see great examples of terrible leadership, so as to not make the same mistake with my staff in the future.

    Cons

Low pay for anyone under VP title.
    Command / positional leadership only
Company has brought in a liquidation CEO to sell the company. Company was majority held by an equity firm that wanted to get out. Brought on current CEO to cut and abuse operations to show better bottom line. Plant and system is in terrible shape due to lack of system tech to maintain its integrity.
Many VP titles and project managers have been hired in and are either throw aways from other companies or personal friends of such and such. They do not understand their own position. Only place I have been verbally abused by C level management when they could not understand their own team's analysis or their projections.

    Advice to Management

Clean house on the operations side of people sitting in Kirkland. They are completely out of touch with their teams and simply keep firing great staff that understand your company and what you are trying to do. The staff they are saving are the 'yes' men and women that have no idea how to do their jobs but can kiss rear well.
