I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I work with great hard working people. Company benefits are decent. Company shares by giving quarterly bonuses.

    Cons

Management and leadership lack experience in managing teams, no true leaders. HR dept is very weak. Titles are inflated VP's at Wave should be Managers and Directors Supervisors.

    Advice to Management

    Management and HR training classes.

    Pros

Paycheck is OK, but about 1/2 of industry norm for enterprise.

    Cons

Leadership totally sucks and the only division that gets any marketing or internal attention is Wave G.

    Advice to Management

It's a revolving door for reps because you suck.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People seem friendly. Still very new and learning. But seems like a very non stressful job. Sales is big thing.

    Cons

Training can be better. I understand the training is new but it lacks real in depth information. Just here you go this is it.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Room for growth and advancement if you've got the wherewithal to pursue and engage your leadership in your career progress.

    Cons

Compensation isn't as good as it could be. C-Level gives zero cares about front line life, or what makes customers tick, focusing instead on the bottom line and increasing revenue. As others have stated, compensation and communication are indicated as yearly issues with employee satisfaction surveys, but employees are told that increasing customer satisfaction will increase employee satisfaction, not a true statement.

    Advice to Management

Actually care about who you are hiring. Don't just fill a seat with a body in order to get the phone answered, you're not doing yourself or your company any favors when three other agents have to clean up the mess left by an incompetent first agent. Better pay, clear career paths, and ongoing training would make this a stellar place to work again.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time

    Pros

Management was hands off if you were solid at your job.

    Cons

Worked eleven plus hours days on most days. Not a lot of food and parking is rough given the specific location.

    Advice to Management

Make better hiring decisions and don't cater to every specific hiring manager.

I have been working at Wave Broadband full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, good benefits, weekends optional.

    Cons

Deceleration if not at 100 percent to goal, base salary is too low for industry average. Not a bad place to work can do well if you work in low income neighborhoods and apartments.

    Advice to Management

    Relax

    Pros

The company is growing and is becoming an industry mover and shaker.

    Cons

With growth, sometimes there are growing pains. You have to be willing to work your way through some of the organizational changes.

I worked at Wave Broadband full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent healthcare benefits, perks that are not really helpful.

    Cons

Punitive leave policy, horrible work environment, management is incompetent and engages in cronyism, you cant survive on the pay, commission is not at all what they say it is and they can take it away after you have earned it as a punishment, company has deceitful billing practices that cause constant escalations with customers, forced overtime, micromanaging that is weird and scary. HR is incompetent and allows management to implement illegal polices, and the silly prize system they have is for children...not adults who are trying to feed their families.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company to someone who knows what they are doing. It's not a toy.
