    Pros

Nice start up job pays $13/hr. Small company wverybody knows everybody. Easy commute. Consistent pay. (every other friday) easy to request for time offs. Very laid back no hard selling. No scripted spiels

    Cons

Stagnant. No pay increase no matter how long you stay with them. Its a joke that you have to do billing and sales ans customer svc all at the same time and they base your stats on sales. businesss reps are always at the top bec they have same goals as you do in residential customers ofcourse they get a lot more sales bec business customers will usually order like 3 phone lines per call.

    Senior Managment

    Pros

New senior management has been allowed to bring in their own team in and clean out the personnel that made Wave successful in the first place! Waves growth was based on the hard work of many personnel wearing multiple hats and not getting recognition for a job well done.

    Cons

They are not competing on the ground level with proper safety tools, training, actual tools to perform the work techs are asked to do and low pay. They claim to have competitive pay but when you actually work for another company and get to see the pay structure Wave is way off!

Unorganized Cable Company should be bought out

Jan 21, 2014 - Maintenance in Woodburn, OR

    Pros

Well you surely will never see a supervisor which makes it nice. The benefits are standard cable benefits like any other cable company. The people are okay that work there.

    Cons

The management from top down leaves a lot to be desired. Drunk supervisors are not needed in this company. There are some people who have never had a performance review with the company even after multiple years of working there. This has not changed. Horrific inventory system. You could never get supplies that you needed for basic everyday field work. Customer's having buried lines could take years as well as damaged cable. They will tell you repeatedly that pretty much everything is NOT in the budget which includes customers and pay raises. Always some excuse. Instant installs every day makes no sense. Sometimes you will have twenty jobs in a single day and then get instant installs on top of that so you never knew when you'd be finished for the day. No dispatch system. They don't monitor your routes nor do the supervisors so if somebody gets injured nobody would know where you were at. Pay is way below average. You will never get a review. One of the worst cable companies I have ever worked for.

Paradox of Management - You're disposable

Oct 6, 2017 - Senior Manager in Seattle, WA

    Pros

Got to experience a lot of new things in the business world. People getting fired left and right while everyone else is trying to find new jobs elsewhere, so there is a lot of opportunity. If you are naturally optimistic, your manager will have you write a positive review on Glassdoor. I got to see great examples of terrible leadership, so as to not make the same mistake with my staff in the future.

    Cons

Low pay for anyone under VP title. Command / positional leadership only Company has brought in a liquidation CEO to sell the company. Company was majority held by an equity firm that wanted to get out. Brought on current CEO to cut and abuse operations to show better bottom line. Plant and system is in terrible shape due to lack of system tech to maintain its integrity. Many VP titles and project managers have been hired in and are either throw aways from other companies or personal friends of such and such. They do not understand their own position. Only place I have been verbally abused by C level management when they could not understand their own team's analysis or their projections.

    Pros

Coworkers were amazing. Holiday parties were a huge thank you too employees.

    Cons

Bonus structure changed all the time. When I first started I was getting great pay until they wanted to change bonus structure. Everyone's pay decreased and if you didnt bonus, you were an employee that wouldnt last long there, as it means your not producing enough results for them!

    Pros

Flexible schedules and tries to promote low level employees to slightly higher level positions. Good caring people.

    Cons

Low pay for almost all mid to low level employees. Would rather promote low level and unqualified employees to positions since they can keep the pay lower than industry standards.
