I have been working at Wawa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, ESOP, 401K with company match, great pay, lots of vacation time for supervisors and managers, vacation time for associates as well, monthly bonuses, always room for advancement, company lives by a value system, many resources, raise money for local organizations, community involvement, paid maternity leave.
They truly believe in time vested into their employees and management teams. They spend a lot time and money on making sure all the new hires and new management gets the training and development they need. They have classes online and in a training center for managers/supervisors. They are all about team work.

    Cons

Depending on locations, it can be very fast paced. Sometimes it's hard to get all tasks completed. When in a store with a higher turnover rate it calls for longer hours but with the right management team the turnover can be fixed pretty quickly. Challenges can include external management taking longer to develop, some personality clashes. Depending on the location, theft can be high.

I worked at Wawa part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

With a good management team in place and the right co-workers, it hardly feels like work😊. It is a fast paced environment which helps your shift to go by very quickly.

    Cons

Getting your schedule the week before (sometimes a couple of days before) the upcoming week makes it difficult to schedule things like doctors appointments for yourself and children.

    Advice to Management

When you have a good, strong crew, recognize that and make them know that you appreciate them.

When a store is doing well and morale is good, stop transferring AGM's and GM's.
