I worked at Wawa full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Money was good and the fellow GM's made for nice team work. The stock gifts were great and the 401k match was nice.

    Cons

The management became way too controlling and didn't have the skill set to back It up. Senior executives were leaving and the values structure was becoming less important

    Pros

People are very nice, everyone has good team work. Vacation time is great, eye and dental are really good too.

    Cons

Some managers do not know how to manage, which stresses the stores as a whole. Training is an issue everywhere in regards to processes being managed properly.

    Advice to Management

A better review process, such as a 360 review process, to develop associates and managers alike.

I have been working at Wawa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly, high energy work environment where you get to know your community
    Great benefits and advancement opportunities

    Cons

Open availability means that you will be overworked, because coworkers will choose to call out or not complete assigned tasks. Then this becomes your problem in which you have to do double the work but still manage to get paid the same as others. If you think all that hard work will get you a better position practice networking because "Favoritism" is the only way you move up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Accountability needs to be a priority! If everyone does their job correctly every store would be perfect. Lose the dead weight and evaluate job performance more than once a year.

    Pros

Descent pay, time went by fast. Employee discount was good 50% on deli items while working. Break whenever you want.

    Pros

Chances to interacts with many people, buy food at 10-20% discount. Provide great experience for me to apply for the other jobs such as bak teller, accountant later.

    Cons

Standing and moving a lot. Sometimes you have to work long hours like 10 am to 7 pm. Pretty boring and repetitive job if you do not like number or want something more interesting

    Advice to Management

They need to supervise staff better because some are just lazy and think other employee will do their duties
