I have been working at Wawa full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive compensation, stock options , good 401k match, and strong core values that are what make the job worth while.

    Cons

There is excessive nepotism, don’t think just because you have worked hard for something that your going to get it. There is a lot of competition and most promotions are based on relationships more so the performance.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to get clear a career path in writing during your on-boarding if you intend to try and move up within the company.

I worked at Wawa full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Upper level does a great job detailing training and management functions.
Great training on the computer. Varies at the store level.

    Cons

Store level training is sometimes badly handled. As in when employees request it, management does not provide it or develop a solution as to how to make it happen,

    Advice to Management

Do a better job at region level monitoring what is really being done at store level regarding training. Tracking course completion on computer is NOT what I mean.

Great people to help and teach you on how to do your job correctly. It’s a great experience of different kinds of people like business men to the homeless.

    Cons

Working in the cold box wasn’t very enjoying. Homeless people are common to see at work. Can burn your finger tips trying to package breakfast sandwiches.
