I have been working at Wawa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wawa is a company that offers a lot to its employees. Although it takes a full year to obtain medical benefits, to someone without them it is a great relief. They offer 401k and profit shares which can help towarda retirement. But they also off payroll deduction on things like car insurance. This offers piece of mind knowing it is always paid.

The advancement structure is a bit stagnent and makea it slow to move up. But overall a company that cares about its employees.

    Cons

Advancement structures make it hard to advance.

I have been working at Wawa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The managers treat you like equals. Everything is laid out step by step so its almost impossible to mess up. The employees actually feel appreciated in their positions and it really shows in the customer service. The crew feels like a family. They have "Fun Days" where the whole crew will decide on an activity (bowling, the beach, mini golf, etc.) and take the day off and go together. It really helps everyone to bond with each other and reaffirms that feeling of family. I've never been more in love with my job.

    Cons

I honestly cannot think of a single downside in working for Wawa.

    Advice to Management

Keep making sure your employees feel appreciated and part of the team.

I have been working at Wawa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company! It can be hard work during the busy hours or when co-workers call out, but everyone is generally a great worker. The company makes it fun with different events like Hoagiefest and Siptopia and they always give out stuff for the employees. They really care about their employees and if you want a career and a company to work for for a long time, this is a great company.

    Cons

Sometimes they hire from outside instead of within, but if you're working for them and want to move up, you'll eventually have an opportunity, just might take longer.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to fire and hire again. I know it may cost a lot to hire employees but you need to get rid of the employees that are dragging the good employees down. Hold everyone accountable, even the lower management.
