I worked at Wawa full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Definitely better side of the retail department. The work is rewarding and management notices (for the most part) when you do your job correctly.

    Cons

Favorites is definitely a thing, the work can be tedious and the customers can be fairly inconsiderate. Often feels like your back is against the wall with hours per shift. Moving up seemed fairly pointless and pretty much generally a bad decision. Saw a lot of people get stuck in positions after being promised they'd move up because they didn't meet certain Regional Manager's particular criteria. It was fairly disgusting

I worked at Wawa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get raises every few months. Got almost full time hours. Great company to work for with values.

    Cons

Often overworked and understaffed. They'd rather hire someone who is not in the company for higher roles rather than promoting people within the company.

  4. "Customer Service Associate, Shift Manager, Night Supervisor"

I have been working at Wawa

    Pros

Gain experience and meet people of all types, take the good with the bad. It is a very competitive company. Things are constantly evolving with this company, which breaks monotony. The company has great benefits and a wonderful support network.

    Cons

With evolving and frequent change comes an revolving door of management. This can be a good thing if you’re trying to break into a management position. If not, you will often be working with or for people that have the stereotypical bad manager issues.

I worked at Wawa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

This company had it TOGETHER-- all training was streamlined& clear. There are many checks&balances--meaning no management could be a dictator--- tthis was BY FAR the best company I have ever worked for. They truly care about their employees *(support for financial troubles, support for health issues). They also have excellent bonuses and you can be quickly promoted. This is NOT a gas station- it's so much more. Wawa is innovative and welcomes ideas and implements changes for the better often. FREE FOOD- not free, but nearly!!-- They be recently added a 50cent/$1/$1.50 menu for their employees. You can get up to 3 items per shift and it's the good stuff too- macncheese, chicken tenders, bagels, hotdogs, select shorti sandwiches.

    Cons

If people 'call out' the shift can feel a tad hectic, but management always tried to get someone else to come in to cover the missing person's shift.

I worked at Wawa part-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, PTO, Stock Options. These guys really do take care of their employees.

    Cons

This job isn't for the faint of heart, especially if you work in a high volume store. You will get frustrated. You will get stressed. You will get beat up. If you're the type of person who knows how to keep their composure, then this job will teach you the importance of customer service and communication skills.
