I have been working at Wawa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is good and the company is great to work for.

    Cons

Dealing with fellow employees gets stressful. Constant call outs puts more pressure on the rest of the team and employees not putting in work makes it hard on everyone else. Younger employees seem to get promoted fast.

    Advice to Management

Dont allow employees who call out constantly keep their job.

I worked at Wawa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Descent pay, time went by fast. Employee discount was good 50% on deli items while working. Break whenever you want.

    Cons

Management was a joke, always outside smoking. To much favoritism with employees. No health insurance for 1 year and you had to work 30+ hours a week

I have been working at Wawa part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some great and fun co-workers who have become wonderful friends. Some great members in management who work alongside their employees.

    Cons

Not enough pay for the amount of work that's expected. The more you do the more they expect of you. Little or no breaks at all during 8 or 9 hour shifts. Younger employees and members in management stand around and talk while the older employees do all of the work. Constant turnover and firings. Younger employees get moved up too management with little or no experience and are then expected to be trained by the longtime and older employees who are paid less than they are. Customers are allowed to scream at employees while management just stands there and does nothing.

    Advice to Management

Your core values should also include your employees not just your customers. Your employees are people too and respect should be enforced from the staff as well as your customers. Have enough staff in the store so that your employees are not over stressed by the amount of work they're expected to do so that they as well as your customers can have a pleasant experience.

I have been working at Wawa full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The starting pay is good, the company is a nice company to work for. It's easy to move up in management.

    Cons

Customers can be really rude for no reason. I had a guy screaming an swearing at me on thanksgiving because we discontinued lobster bisque a couple months ago. Management can be difficult, they're mainly nice but there are one or two that treat you like crap. The schedule is also difficult sometimes.
