I worked at Wayland Baptist University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wayland Baptist was a great transition from a new graduate. They were very welcoming and it felt like a cozy atmosphere.

    Cons

Unfortunately there weren't enough Sprit Days, I found the students loved it

I have been working at Wayland Baptist University full-time

    Pros

good time off, free classes for employee and immediate family

    Cons

Horrible Management at all locations, un-organized, not forward thinking, poor communication, can't get supplies needed for job, very little room for growth, confusing processes for students, low pay, no system of discipline, nepotism, and much more.

    Advice to Management

Learn to think things through before implementing them, raise pay to be able to higher quality employees, learn proper communication and mostly learn to say no!

    Pros

Company cares about its students and employees, great tuition benefits, work with great people!

    Cons

non profit, low salary. Work life balance, employees care greatly about their students and put in over a hundred percent. If you are a person that wants to just clock in and out, this university is not for you.

I have been working at Wayland Baptist University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff treats one another as Family. It is very Christ focused and prayer is a common occurrence during the day. All of the faculty works together as a team.

    Cons

The technology that is utilized is a bit outdated. There is also a lack of formalized training and there is a great need for consistency within the external and main campuses.

    Advice to Management

Within the campus that I work for, management is spot on. I have no recommendations other that to keep doing what you are doing.

I worked at Wayland Baptist University part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Had a high percentage of military and police students that were well disciplined and focused on the classes. I really enjoyed teaching at Wayland!

    Cons

Quarter system required four-hour evening classes and about a 10 week class. A lot to digest in only 10 weeks.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!
