I have been working at Waymouth Farms full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

i like my co workers they are easy to get alone with and very helpful.

    Cons

If you're looking for a big raise forget it! You'll get one once a year which could be a quarter. But the President of the company says you have to prove you deserve anything worthy of the job.

    Advice to Management

If you want employees to stick around pay them a decent salary for their work.

I have been working at Waymouth Farms full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been employeed here for over 15 years. The business has changed and so has upper management. Things are better today then they were when I began. Some things are still the same but many changes / improvements have been implemented due to increased business. I am not in management but fee the company is goingin the right direction. Todays management has increased sales and is making our company stronger.

    Cons

Sometimes we have to work long hours to get the work done but we get overtime pay. Every so often weeknds are required. We work hard but get paid for it but at times its very hard work.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing all of us for continued growth. Also, we need to buy more equipment when we can to make things go faster. Most of us apprecaite the leadership and commitmnet upper managemnet shows. Keep hiring good stong people.

I have been working at Waymouth Farms full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Senior management is always involved with all levels of operations. There is a constant care and concern for making the process that are in place to be efficient and enjoyable. This is true of the production floor and office operations. The company truly looks to reward from within and hard work will definitely be recognized. The person who posted "Workplace from hell", it can not be further from the truth.

    Cons

Work load did not always utilize all od my skills and abilities in the short term. However, over time it will be recognized

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide feedback and recognize hard work. It is appreciated by your employees.

I worked at Waymouth Farms full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The place was a good place to work for, I learned a lot, people were friendly, it was fun working there.
If you like factory work on packaging machines .
The pay was good, depends on what your job was.

    Cons

They will lay you off, have you sign a paper for openings down the road and never call you.
You work weekends. But they tell you that when you are hired, there will be some weekends. Respect, only if you work in the office.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like there your customers, if it wasn't for them, you would still be in your garage doing all the work for yourself.

I worked at Waymouth Farms full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have work even in this weak economy. Seems to survive the bad job market.

    Cons

Incredibly negative work environment. The management delights in tormenting and threatening their employees knowing full well that people need the job to survive. The working conditions are quite dangerous, and management does not care. Finger pointing and screaming are the norm.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and hire personnel with a trace of humanity.

    Pros

They usually only have you work during the week. They pay isn't bad, but they could benefit by offering more of a profit sharing to its employees.

    Cons

The work environment was terrible. The warehouse was scorching hot during the summer because there were not any a/c units in the warehouse, only the office. Some days it would reach almost 90 in the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

Air conditioning, first and foremost. There is a lot of food there that can spoil easily and with that high heat it won't take long.

    Pros

Can buy product at wholesale cost.
Company has national recognition and a strong relationship with Cub Foods and Walmart.
Working in a small company you get good experience

    Cons

turnover is over 100 percent- 3 controllers in 2 years, 4 HR in 2 years, sales and purchasing is a revolving door.
unprofessional culture with executive management having no respect for employees.
Employees are micro managed, finger pointing is the norm, and cover yourself is the only way you can survive.

    Advice to Management

if employees were treated better and allowed to do what they were hired for, imagine what the company could accomplish. The company is gaining a reputation as a place you do not want to work.

I have been working at Waymouth Farms full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

New owner shows genuine concern for employees, gets to know all employees not just people in the office. It's only been a few months but the place feels different already. Finally understanding that people make mistakes and no longer yelled at and automatically written up without hearing our side. New owner wants to find solutions not chop heads. Good advancement chances, promotion from within good.

    Cons

Sometimes asked to work overtime without a lot of notice. Pay could be better.

    Advice to Management

Keep on this path and people will stay. Like the new respect for the employees.
