I worked at Waypoint Homes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company creating a new industry. Lots of smart creative people.

    Cons

Salary below market. HR thinks "that's the Waypoint way"

    Advice to Management

A little less ra-ra and a bit more consistency

    Pros

The people that work in the call center are truly genuine. They really do everything that is possible to solve current issues!

    Cons

Most of the time it is not possible to solve issues for the callers. Receiving angry call after angry call makes it difficult day after day.

    Advice to Management

Try one call theory. There has to be more planning and forecasting in order to be successful.

I have been working at Waypoint Homes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Can't think of any at this time?

    Cons

Work load, pay scale, respect, leadership (lack thereof). Literally cut salaries by 50% in a matter of 7 days. Anyone who was making $100k/year is now making $50k/year and you will absolutely get no notice from them, instead everyone will be called into the office and told that your salary will now be half what you're currently making then told to have an answer of whether or not you are staying or leaving within 24 hours. LOL wow.

    Advice to Management

Have a heart? Give notice? Don't cut someone's pay in half then act like it's merely a business decision when rent's are being raised at 9%/year and demand is higher than ever. Greed........

    Pros

Wonderful company; great bunch of bright hardworking folks. Would still be there if not for the merger with Colony.

    Cons

As a start up, the hours were long but management made up for it with on and off site activities and a generous bonus package.

I worked at Waypoint Homes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are no pros at this time. Before the merger with Colony it was different place with great moral and lots of money to be made. Everyone seemed happy and culture was stable.

    Cons

Since the merger and inheritance of very bad practices and local managers that have no clue how to manage real estate much less themselves, this place is not an option for anyone with any kind decent experience or good moral character. The local managers in Houston would prefer a very low level employee that they can break down over a seasoned real estate person that knows what they are doing. The employees are extremely overworked and over stressed. The work place is dysfunctional and hostile and upper management continues to turn a blind eye.

    Advice to Management

Waypoint execs need to wake up and realize the disservice the local managers are doing for you. The are bullying the left over employees. Please help the last few that are standing.
