I have been working at Wayside Technology Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

High tech office with natural lighting, standing & treadmill desks, and casual atmosphere. Great coffee and always something to eat in the kitchen - free! Our Events Committee is great at getting employees and families together and do fun things.

Management is very fair if you work hard and show your commitment towards meeting the company's goals. They are flexible and encourage a good work and family balance with the option to work from home a few days per week. As I have, employees have the option to apply to different departments and try new positions.

What more can I say? I love this company!

    Cons

The pay may be lower but the flexibility and shorter commute (if any) makes up for it.

    Advice to Management

You are doing a great job!

I have been working at Wayside Technology Group full-time

    Pros

Flexible time, management is very easy going, awesome work place, most positions allow for 3 days working from home

    Cons

Salary isn't as competitive as some other companies that do similar things, however since Wayside is on the smaller side, the pay is understandable.

I have been working at Wayside Technology Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I joined Wayside after graduating from Rutgers University 3 years ago and it's been a wonderful learning opportunity. I was fortunate to land several interviews and ended up getting two offers, one of those with Wayside and I definitely made the right choice! The management team is top notch and I get to work with such a terrific team of people. I plan on making this my "work home" for many more years to come.

    Gorgeous new office too!!

    Cons

    No reimbursement for MBA studies

    Advice to Management

Entice sales team with slightly better bonuses

I have been working at Wayside Technology Group full-time

    Pros

Great Place to work, work from home policy 3 days a week, a variety of food is in the kitchen every day (saves time and money), filtered water fountains (so you dont have to use bottled water), selection of teas, single server coffee maker, foosball and pool tables, a deck on the third floor to work from - but really the best "thing" here are my coworkers

    Cons

I think things are going well at this point in the new office

    Advice to Management

They are doing a good job - nothing to add

I have been working at Wayside Technology Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I'm so proud to be part of the Wayside culture. This is not just a company. It's a culture. We work to improve our selves, and also to improve and empower those less fortunate within our own group and in our community. I love my job and I'm inspired every day.

    Cons

Cons? None. I love this job & I'm grateful to be part of the culture.

I worked at Wayside Technology Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ability to grow big accounts, networking with several vendors, great people to work with, nice after work events and banquets.

    Cons

Commission could be better, they keep raising the sales goals every time you meet one. Outbound sales people receive no commission if they don't hit the sales goals. Management often had issues and sometimes doing things outside of the rules. If people in the company were being treated unfairly by other people in the company, they rarely did anything about it. The work space was very lame to be in as it did not have any windows.Very little opportunities for advancement and promotion.

    Advice to Management

Be more thoughtful to your workers, they should be compensated fairly. There should be more opportunity for raises. Handle all matters with immature employees, especially harassment and inappropriate behavior, seriously.
