I have been working at WePay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great company with clearly defined goals. There is always clear direction on what needs to get done and leadership is pretty well organized. Lots of opportunity for growth and a ton of support if needed. All the perks that you expect from a company in bay area; tons of free food and catered lunches, flexible hours and work from home options, over a month of paid vacation, etc.

    Cons

Tech stach is a bit dated but there is a lot of work being done to switch over to newer technologies. Honestly, for a company of this age and size can't really complain all that much about the stack. Office is also a bit cramped but we are slated to move into our new office Q2 of 2020 so only a temporary issue.

I have been working at WePay full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - The management team is highly experienced and very professional. - Company culture is healthy and uplifting. The best way I can describe it is that the culture is unique blend of determination to win while remaining focused on supporting one another. Authenticity and innovation is celebrated and hard work is recognized. -Growing like crazy! The engineering team is hiring to meet demand and to set our company up for long-term success as we scale. - Many wonderful perks: free catered lunch, subsidized gym, unlimited Caltrain, stocked kitchen with snacks, team and company outings, stock options, comfortable work stations (excellent chairs and adjustable height desks so you can sit or stand), new office.

    Cons

-Typical growing pains associated with a rapidly expanding startup: HR is virtually non-existent but that is being addressed promptly. Company orientation and on-boarding is still a work-in-process. -Long(ish) expected hours for a startup, and since lunch is catered, you can find yourself working all day with few breaks.

I have been working at WePay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Relatively good work/life balance for a startup -Executives are good people, I actually trust they're trying to do what's right by us and the company rather than trying to make a quick buck -Extremely fast growth in an exciting industry -Decent benefits, excellent catered lunch daily -Small enough that your contributions have weight, large enough that you don't feel like you're working without a net all the time. -Seems to have very recently hit an inflection point around product/market fit and is poised to take off. -Very smart, skilled employees who are also not jerks.

    Cons

-Lack of any real career track. The opportunities for advancement are there, but nothing is standardized and it's frustrating to not know what you need to do to move up. -Company is transitioning markets and strategy, which sometimes feels like a lack of direction. -Teams feel siloed from one another. -Hiring very fast right now, which means recruiting is taking up a lot of management's time. Some teams are still very understaffed relative to the demands placed on them. -Code base is being refactored, but there's a lot of bad legacy code.
