Pros
Work from home. Folks are generally friendly. It's a quota-carrying sales job. Tech is good. Show up and make your calls.
Cons
Watch your back. Management is delusional. They think their niche travel platform is going to be the next Google. It's laughable.

Pros
Super transparent environment. Lots of support and encouragement and good vibes from an amazing team of people. This company walks their talk as far as their values go. I'm extra lucky because I have an extra special supervisor which always helps.
Cons
Nothing I can think of except pay might be a little less than other companies.

WeTravel has been so amazing to work for. The values, culture, remote-based work, and support have all been really wonderful. You can tell that the founders and employees care and it's really a great place to work. They are transparent and encourage growth in all aspects.
Cons
There are no cons I can think of.

Thank you for the review. As a small--but mighty and growing--team, our Co-Founders are able to work alongside each employee, in every department. This closeness allows for connection and collaboration, unlike larger businesses. Together, we're able to grow and learn.

Pros
Great Culture. Down to Earth.
Cons
Remote culture means you have to put the extra effort to reach out with colleagues.

We're thrilled you enjoy our company's culture, a large part of what makes our culture so wonderful is the many faces (on many continents) that make up our remote-first team. Since we're seasoned pros in the remote working world, our team is agile and flexible when booking meetings with colleagues, typically over a coffee! Though, of course, it requires some planning and flexibility on each employee when managing and booking internal meetings.

Cons
No work-life balance. Long hours
WeTravel Response2y
Hello, thank you for your review. We're thrilled you love the work you're doing; we're glad you're part of the team. We prioritize each employee's well-being, which is why we offer unlimited PTO and have implemented specific volunteering days, so we're sorry you feel unbalanced at work. Please, bring this discussion to your manager or HR so we can help balance your days and offload some work.

Pros
Small company so lots of opportunities to take on new projects and have impact on decisions. Friendly team.
Cons
Company isn't exactly a thriving startup. Management tries to present an image of a hip Silicon Valley startup with huge potential, but after 4 years of operating, the company is struggling to really have big time success or present a convincing argument to the masses for why their product should exist. Business model and niche has severe growth limitations, and at least in my opinion it will have a hard time growing into anything significantly larger than it is today. The founders, while friendly and with good intentions, don't have any professional background in achieving startup success, company leadership or getting acquired and they often seem amateurish and just trying to copy what they've seen in movies/books/pop-culture about how to run a startup more than actually be inspiring or innovative business leaders themselves.

Pros
-Collaborative, friendly work environment -Company culture emphasizes taking initiative, being a self-starter, etc. and provides the flexibility to pursue projects you believe are impactful -Working at the intersection of travel & yoga (two of my biggest passions) keeps me excited about what I'm doing
Cons
-Life inside a start-up at this stage can be chaotic at times so burnout is a risk (but management is supportive of taking time off or working from home when needed; without that support the job could feel like a grind) -As we continue to grow, we'll need to invest more in tools for increasing our productivity
WeTravel Response2y
