Company Culture Good, Company Work Balance Could Be Better
Aug 7, 2020 - Community LeadRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The people that you meet in your community teams what keeps you afloat and going in the company. It is with these friendships that you build that allows you to enjoy the space you’re in and and go through the fast paced always changing environment. And this is because you’re in it together. Working in a space that’s not your traditional office is great too.
Cons
There’s a lot of inconsistencies and communication from higher ups can be better. Work and life balance can be difficult to achieve as hours are long (8:30am-6pm). The sudden changes and stressors of work, the amount of workload can really affect your mental health and though you’re teams are accommodating to you taking a break, it is very important for the company as a whole to address this. As much as I enjoy the teams, the company as a whole can definitely do a lot more to improve employee experience and work/life balance. The company used to focus a lot on the community which feels lacking at the moment

Hectic, but really can't complain that much
Apr 6, 2022 - Ios Software Engineer in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Excellent pay - 24/7 access to all weworks worldwide (great for finding bathrooms in NYC) - Strong liberal values (off for juneteenth, celebration of minorities and women in tech) - $8 off of lunch - Great team / work environment - Great work/life balance (when people work past 9-5, sometimes they are even given a tsk tsk, other times you can tell the managers are quietly glad)
Cons
- Hectic. The effects of 2019 are still felt. - So much old code is just left there, and the people who wrote it were either fired or left. - Often feels very organized. Stuff, and people, are all over the place.

Pros
They are a very welcoming team. The company really emphasizes a good culture as well as person and professional development. They are also very respectful of work life balance!
Cons
It is a very large company, so there is a TON to learn and get up to speed on. However, they have an in depth training program you go through before you actually start working which alleviates much of this.

Wework is one of the most employee focussed companies that I have worked with and it was definitely a wonderful experience
Cons
Work life balance can take a hit sometimes especially for certain teams

Pros
I've worked with WeWork for over a year and I can honestly say that I've never felt more valued or experienced more growth in such a short span of time. The work culture is great, but it's definitely a lot of hard work. You really have to work to achieve a balance between your career and personal life. But the rewards are limitless.
Cons
You definitely have to work over-time occasionally
