    I worked at Weatherford full-time

    Pros

    Great benefits
    enjoyed everyone I worked with
worked hard to keep employees happy

    Cons

Nothing in terms of the company, but the schedule/timing of always have to jump no matter what came up was tough. However, that's the nature of the oil field service industry.

    Advice to Management

Again, this is a bit dated, but when I worked there corporate continually made serious legal and financial mistakes that hurt the reputation of the company.

I have been working at Weatherford full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ability to learn a lot if you're self motivated and have the access to materials to learn from.

    Cons

No sense of loyalty to long term employees, the only way to get a pay increase is to quit and apply back it seems. Management is oblivious at best an ignorant at worst. As for safety and quality, those are just words that are thrown around after the issue has been found.

    Advice to Management

Get out on the shop floor and form your own opinions, don't just pretend that your information is valid and you can corroborate it if you don't leave your desk.

I have been working at Weatherford full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, ok benefits, good pay

    Cons

No structure, no accountability, no career plan, management is a joke

    Advice to Management

Tighten up on expectations, raise standards, help employees set a career plan and see through with it. No one wants to stay in the same position for 3-4+ years

I worked at Weatherford full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My experience was very safety oriented and committed to balancing family-work life. Compared to other companies I worked for, had very few equipment failures and life-threatening accidents. It was a very professional work environment where the job got done right, the first time and every time.

    Cons

Boring at times when everything is running so well that it gets repetitive.
Depending on management personalities, promotions can be on a personal basis as seen with my service supervisor that the yard manager passed up field sup spot for his friend from a previous company.

    Advice to Management

Your fleet that is out there and gets forgotten because nothing ever goes wrong, don't neglect that and buddy up with the guys that are always chatting at the yard because they lost the contract and got the fleet kicked off location. But that should be common sense?
