I worked at Weatherford full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They hire interns and students in college or right out of college, made a few life long friends while working there.

    Cons

You are nothing but a number, disrespectful coworkers who make you hate your job, layoffs every quarter, very stressful work environment, little training received due to lack of money in the budget, obsolete computers that don’t allow you to do your job (budget issues), no raises for 4 years.

    Advice to Management

None really they just do what they are told to do by their higher ups.

I worked at Weatherford (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of incredibly experienced, brilliant, and dedicated people working here. Many of them are making the best of very poor management and achieving best results for customers despite lack of corporate strategy and good people management practices.

    Cons

As WFT stock price shows, the whole company is incredibly poorly managed. Granted, the market has bee incredibly tough in the last 5 years, but other service provider companies have adjusted.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the few things the company does well and let everything else go. Focus on your people and implement cutting edge systems. Stop trying to implement obtuse and overly complicated IT systems and be innovative in cloud services.
