    Pros

Weatherford is a place that allows you to grow and gain experience. Very good opportunity for improvement and advancement if you are self motivated.

    Cons

Long hours, pay isn't outstanding (but not terrible)

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the people under you, some have great ideas and some are simply riding the wave.

I worked at Weatherford full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked with great people. Had great benefit package. Regional manager and Area Mgr invested in improving my job performance and quality of life.

    Cons

Corporate at times failed to deliver on incentives and would change parameters to qualify for incentives. Very top heavy with too many VPs yet would not hesitate to release profitable revenue producing personnel.

    Advice to Management

Invest in people improving the bottom line. Deliver what was agreed without haggling or changing the agreement. Stop or reduce unnecessary reports/busy work and concentrate/maximize efforts on primary function/responsibility.

I have been working at Weatherford full-time

    Pros

Money is great, and the co-workers are nice.

    Cons

No type of progression program or clear career path. Expect to stay in your spot, if you don't put in 100% effort to move up.

    Advice to Management

Provide some clear progression initiatives and guidelines one can follow to strive towards a career goal.

I worked at Weatherford full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Focus on safety; good co-workers.

    Cons

Lack of focus on quality and too much focus on cost-cutting means that they are currently in a race to the bottom in terms of service quality and employee motivation.

    Advice to Management

Value the skills and experience of your employees. Re-focus on quality.

    Pros

lots of room for improvement and innovation for a driven employee

    Cons

lack of standard procedures and policies, specially for career development, HR and training.
Procedures vary greatly among product lines and countries, it feels like different companies inside a company. Development is fully dependant on your political skills rather than a company policy

    Advice to Management

Standarized policies, specially training and career development across the product lines and regions.

I have been working at Weatherford full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Local management is okay
Really good benefits ( that's the only reason I'm there)
    Fair pay

    Cons

Inter- departmental communications and purchasing sucks !
Getting something done outside of your isolated group is horrendous.

    Advice to Management

This company has so much potential...with Baker being on the ropes Weatherford could rise to the number 3 position in the world, or at least in the U.S.

How about if upper management stops talking and starts living by it's own words.
Boots on the floor make money, investment portfolios make money....lip service does nothing but compromise both.

    Cons

Too many politics, Weatherford's management is sinking the company.

    Advice to Management

If you are trying to reduce the size of WFT to sell, you're doing a good job.
