    I worked at Weatherford

    Pros

Benefits are some of the best I have ever seen, and insurance is very cheap with great coverage and small deductibles. Lot's of perks.

    Cons

They monitor EVERYTHING. They keep the place locked in like it was a top secret holding facility. Don't loose you electronic key tag or you won't enter or leave the facility on a weekend.

    Pros

Good co-workers Great benefits Many opportunities to advance in the company

    Cons

Just like any other huge company, lack of communication, trouble with HR helping with issues In some areas, there seems to be an unneeded amount of managers, but it seems as though this has been realized by the company since it looks like they are re-organizing and consolidating.

    I worked at Weatherford

    Pros

There was a lot of good people to work with. I got the opportunity to learn a lot and during the good times it was a fun place to work.

    Cons

They used to be all about growth and with all of the acquisitions there was a lot of different systems. They made big cuts in personal just like all of the other service companies. moral also cut the pay by having furlough days which you end up working anyway so it was basically a 10 and then 20% pay cut. The moral was very low and it will take a miracle to change it. They hire outside the company for higher level positions so they are run by a lot of ex-Shlumberger people.
