    Pros

Very forward thinking company. They use cutting edge technologies and for the most part force you to grow. Company parties are great, benefits package is decent.

    Cons

The biggest con of Web Associates is their growing pains. They have offices distributed across multiple cities and often good work goes unnoticed if you are in one of the studios.

    Advice to Management

Get a stronger handle on the distributed teams. More accountability where it matters. If you're going to talk about profit sharing. it might be a good idea to actually HAVE profit sharing.

    Pros

Great work environment, some of the best talent in the industry. The pay is usually excellent in comparison with other local opportunities but you will want to do research about how much your skills are really worth before accepting an offer as you will be working at 110%.

Their creative department is outstanding in its quality and work. You will see some of the best design and art from this team of highly skilled individuals. In addition to the artists the web and java engineers are also awesome to work with and as a whole your team will be made up of individuals who are helpful and collaborative.

    Cons

No time to be innovative. The work is fast paced and can be very stressful. I've seen people buckle under pressure from mid level management and clients alike. Since the start of 2008 the ratio of people who have been hired to people who have been fired (not laid off, did not quit, but fired) has been pretty equal. Stay on your toes, don't underestimate their desire to be efficient and you should be alright.

Not all departments are created equal either. If you can get into the Creative, PM or Engineering teams your going to encounter stronger support from management than other departments. Throw any preconceived ideas on how things 'should' be done and try to get with the program asap or you will get left behind and possibly terminated.

    Advice to Management

Invest in current employee base and resist high turnover.
