    Pros

It is energizing to see the rapid pace and progress we make every month. The leadership team is very focused on positive forces and cares about what we deliver to our clients. It feels good to be around so many people that take such pride in their work! I love coming to work each day!

    Cons

Lot of traffic and construction makes for a long commute.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Your pride and commitment shows! Thank you for the opportunity to be part of a great team!

I worked at Web Benefits Design full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free coffee and company holiday party

    Cons

CEO wants things her way or else your opinion is not valued, little to no input on the work being done, no timelines, unexpected demos on nonworking products to executives, no organization, a joke of a software development lifecycle, no clear roadmap, unfortunate lack of role growth.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your people.

    Pros

    company party, free coffee,

    Cons

This company will hire anybody..you'll see incompetent managers that doesn't have a clue how to handle project and don't have the skill to even handle a project, some managers just creates conflict and drama at work, and only care about bossing around employees. Most people here LOVES to gossip.

    Advice to Management

Maybe consider re designing your organization to promote employee engagement. promote Job satisfaction by valuing your employee and avoid micromanaging. It kills the creativity and motivation of the employee.

I have been working at Web Benefits Design full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great vision and passion from leadership! It's easy to want to work hard - being a small company (100ees) I feel like my individual contribution really makes an impact on the organization. The Founder/CEO (Bethany) is always there to cheer your successes and support you with your challenges. Not afraid to hear ideas on how to improve processes (even if they aren't implemented - you are at least given the respect and...

    Cons

The company has grown a lot in the recent years and is still working out internal processes. Leadership can micro-manage a bit, but seems to be because most of them have been here since the company started.

    Advice to Management

Continue your focus on being the best. You've hired good people, now trust them to do their job.

Web Benefits Design is a growing company, and it may not be the perfect fit for everyone. I would recommend a role at Web Benefits Design to people who are flexible, adaptable, and can provide and accept feedback with the same ease. Web Benefits Design has a feeling that you "work for the company and the company works for you", you have a direct hand in putting together processes to improve what is there, so be ready...

    Advice to Management

Management is great, everyone I have met has been very kind and very friendly. I have noticed complaints in other reviews about the management, and I want to address where I think that may come from. If you are from a large corporate company, the management style can be a bit different. Managers are more willing to "Call you out" at Web Benefits Design, and if you have tough skin you will be fine. I can see how conversations...

    Pros

WBD is a very fast paced and challenging place to work. Effort and efficiency are always rewarded. There is a wonderful mix of team and individual responsibility with stated goals and areas to improve. Problems/mistakes are dealt with by viewing them as learning experiences.

    Cons

"WBD is a very fast paced and challenging place to work." That cuts both ways sometimes. The Culture is intimate so there is very little "getting by unnoticed". Your team will expect you to perform.
