WebStrategies is a great place to work!
Feb 28, 2018 - Gewerbekundenverkäufer / Mitarbeiter Außendienst in Midlothian, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working at WebStrategies has been awesome! If you're looking for a fun place to start or continue a digital marketing career, I highly recommend this agency. They're always innovating, and their leadership treats employees and clients with the utmost respect, enthusiasm, and honesty. Five Stars! The work we do is challenging but fun and endlessly fascinating (if you're into Adwords, Analytics, Content Marketing, SEO, Social Media, and any of the other fields within the Digital Marketing arena). One of the coolest things about working here is that if you have an idea for trying something new or doing something differently, there's a good chance you'll get an opportunity to put your hypothesis into action. The team will measure the results to see if the new strategy or approach has a positive impact. If your idea proves successful, it will quickly become the standard. If you're looking for a work from home environment, everyone in the company gets that option. If you like being in an office environment, they have an office, which is in the process of getting upgraded to a new location.
Cons
We need a few more people. There is so much work to do, and we keep bringing on new clients all the time!

An amazing place to work
Dec 17, 2018 - Senior Account Manager in Midlothian, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There have been so many pros to working at WebStrategies that it's hard to name just a few. The environment is incredibly encouraging. There is always room to grow and learn. Everyone pitches in and it's truly a team effort. The benefits are wonderful and the company cares about work/life balance. They invest in their employees and care about their clients.
Cons
If I had to share a con it would be that we're growing incredibly fast, so at times we may be understaffed.

You Will Not Find a Better Company
Jul 1, 2019 - Digital Account Manager in Richmond, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I literally can not say enough about what an amazing place this is to work and just to preface, I am not being asked to say any of this. I'm just a true champion of this amazing workplace. I have learned more about digital marketing working here for two years than I had learned in my entire time with other businesses. The upper management are some of the smartest people in digital right now and that's not an opinion, it's a fact based on the speaking the President does and the certifications they hold. Not only do you learn an unbelievable amount about digital marketing, but there are plenty of opportunities to advance, take ownership of projects, and work on things you're interested in. In your first few months you will talk one on one with management and learn about your interests and how you can own a project that helps the company. Even outside of just advancing your career, WebStrategies takes time to learn about you as a person. Our quarterly retreats were one part dedication to improving the business and a second part dedication to improving yourself. Non-work related improvement like emotional intelligence, bonding with your team on a deep level, and learning about yourself as person. I've never seen anything like it in a workplace. Yes, working remotely is a perk, but I would look forward to coming into the office because of how much fun I had there. I've never worked for a guy like the President and I've never had so much fun with my co-workers while getting things done. Getting hired there for me was not easy. I was persistent and determined to get a chance to interview. If you have the opportunity to work here, take it. You will be a better digital marketer and a better person for having worked here. Also, here's some insider knowledge, since they share the entire company the financials at every retreat, which is amazing transparency. They're growing fast, so you're joining a company that will only keep paying better and promoting within. If you think I'm exaggerating you should spend 6 months here and you'll feel the same way myself and almost every employee does. There's a reason it's been voted one of the best places to work in Richmond.
Cons
The only con I can think of would be if working at a small-mid sized business isn't what you're looking for. Some people enjoy a 10,000 person corporation because it comes with a giant office space and a very established hierarchy and role, and that's okay. This company is for people who want to make an impact and have control over their career.

Exciting + Challenging
Mar 29, 2017 - Account Manager in Richmond, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Smart people doing great work. A small enough company that they can be fluid with the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing. You will learn a TON and get to work with interesting businesses and their challenges. Huge growth opportunity.
Cons
You will be held to a high standard. I think that's a pro, but you can't be afraid to work.
