I worked at WebTech Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some people are great, although there are plenty not so great as well...
    Monthly lunches

    Cons

The last few years were ALL about cutting costs and getting the maximum out of everybody.
All departments are way overworked, the most frequent phrase one can hear in the office is "I don't have the bandwith", but still more work is pushed onto everyone.
No retirement security provided, no RRSP, no benefits at all related to retirement.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on employees as well not just shareholders. The company will do better including being more profitable for shareholders if you took care of employees. Turnover would be much much lower if some security, e.g RRSP matching would be provided.

    Pros

-the work was technically challenging and great opportunity to learn new skills
    -some good benefits

    Cons

-workplace was noisy making it difficult to concentrate
    -unrespectful work environment at times
-some teams were understaffed and run at minimum level. The cost savings wasn't worth it.
-some managers in positions that required technical knowledge didn't seem technically minded or didn't seem to care much about technology. This led to poor decisions
-HR dept was too small to be really effective
-staff turnover/layoffs was frequent causing decreased morale and increasing workload for those that remained

    Advice to Management

There should be a CTO for this company to give technical direction to senior management.
