    - Impressive portfolio of projects
    - Freedom to try new projects
    - Executive team is outstanding
    - Great location: right off the Caltrain, Giants games are a crosswalk away!

    Pros

Made some new friends and had an opportunity to integrate a few design managers.

    Cons

Where do I start.... Good ole boy mentality, no opportunities for women to advance. Most of the senior male leaders are uncomfortable with capable women.

    Advice to Management

Figure out your culture and make new employees feel welcome.

    Pros

The people and the reputation are great. Several landmark projects for the city of San Francisco. Upper management pushes the growth of younger employees

    Cons

The hours are hard and the stress is high when the project is at a critical state. Higher ups don't always give you the attention you deserve

I have been working at Webcor Builders full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Getting to work with driven, intelligent & community conscious team members who have the opportunity to build some of California's most challenging and iconic structures.

    Cons

Since they make me write a 20 word minimum, my only complaint is that we aren't building in more regions. It's great that I work close to home, but think our approach to construction and experience could serve us well in all parts of the country and beyond. But we're moving in that direction...

    Advice to Management

Continue to push the boundaries of a historically conservative industry by aggressively seeking new talent from broader backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table.

    Cons

Work life Balance is hard to come by

    Advice to Management

I worked at Webcor Builders full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good challenging projects with really good subcontractors to work with. Field personnel are a lot more fun than project management personnel.

    Cons

Employee motivation is low on projects, employees always want to come in late and leave early, talk behind each other and be nice face front, employee development is not pushed at project sites, lets employees "separate from the company" when projects are almost complete, makes you work long long hours without appreciating, HR department needs to work to make sure employees are happy.

    Advice to Management

Communicate and motivate employees, do not discourage employees getting certifications, do not let employees go after each project.

    Pros

Solid company with a strong reputation, diverse project portfolio, talented people and great employee culture. Competitive pay, benefits, fun company events and outings. The work is challenging is a good way, if you have a strong mentor and a good team you can learn a lot in a short amount of time.

    Cons

Fast paced deadlines and you can work long hours depending on the project. Webcor does care about its employees, but at times too much, allowing people who don't pull their weight to skate by for way too long before they are counseled.

    Advice to Management

Bi-monthly reviews would be a good way for people to stay on a stronger career path.
