    Pros

    It's a place to go.........

    Cons

If any upper management read this, implement a strict new policy on gossip. Turn out a whole new HR staff, middle management and supervisors. They are a main source. Put an end to employees ganging up on other employees in an attempt to push the employee out. Management needs to "manage", and not turn a blind eye on matters that are ongoing, and problematic, in turn bringing down morale. This place is run like a kindergarten class, not like a respectable business. Seems employees are confused as to whom their manager, and or supervisor is. Certain employees are supervising, and or managing their coworker's without hesitation. Why have middle management, when they do nothing anyway. Management and supervisor's are the issue, divide and conquer.........

    Cons

Combines the cliquishness of suburban workplaces with the harsh interactions of a manufacturing work environment.

    I worked at Weber-Stephen Products full-time

    Pros

The people I worked with were great, passionate about the products and put 100% in every day. Thoroughly loved coming to work every day.

    Cons

The HR dept is akin to a bunch of 8th grade girls and I seriously wonder if any of them have actual HR background. Many people have lost their jobs (lay-offs) over the last couple years, probably to help offset the increasing pay and incentives to bring on more V.P's of everything you could have a V.P. for. Way too top heavy now, and the family feel that was there when the Stephen family ran it, is a distant memory. Pay was not great, but the casual work environment made it ok. Benefits are extremely expensive compared to other companies.

    Advice to Management

**Note to Glassdoor - Jim Stephen is NOT the CEO anymore and the 100% approval rating is for him, not the current CEO Tom Koos*** Knock the chip off your shoulder and listen to the folks that have been there 10, 20 or more years... the people on the line know a lot more than you think they do.

    Pros

The job is easy, and you get the backup from your peers. You get the freedom to make decisions for your customers.

    Cons

The pay is not competitive at all. It's good for a starter job for young people who don't have a family to support.
