I have been working at Webroot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company stands behind its product with integrity and passion. More importantly, each member of the company works for each other, even when things don't go as planned. The teamwork, worldwide, has been extraordinary. The people make this place a great place to work, and it helps that management cares about their people just as much as their customers.

    Cons

Fruit baskets in the kitchens would be nice. Seriously, that's all I got.

    Advice to Management

Keep believing in your staff and your staff will continue to produce the best cybersecurity products and services on the planet.

    Pros

Ran by idiots and easy to pass the blame. Not a real programmer in the building and bosses are easy to manipulate.

    Cons

Politics and worthless product, there are better free options to use. Keeping you browser updated is more effective than our app and the mr Williams is trying to hide the fact.

    Advice to Management

Start over and try again, get a new leader and set higher standards. Stop living I the past or get passed over. At this rate we root will fold in a couple years.

I have been working at Webroot full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employees genuinely want to help one another. Good team. Would be even better if mgmt showed true support.

    Cons

Process knowledge w/out having the right skill set doesn't make for effective management. No mgr. support, no development plan. Micro management & negative attitude doesn't promote a healthy environment. Seeing lots of turn over in a dept, but no one seems to care, or listen.

    Advice to Management

Listen when people tell you mgmt is not supportive. Isn't turn-over in 1 area a sign that something isn't right? Show that you care. Do something.

I worked at Webroot full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - great software engineering management . Some of them are the best I have worked with .
    - work life balance is pretty good.
    - office buildings are pretty nice

    Cons

    - communication is difficult with the San Diego threat intelligence team . Most of them pretty much do not speak basic English .
    - agile and scrum here means plotting and scheming against the engineering team . They do not understand that software engineering is a creative process and that engineers would deliver better quality if they did not have to deal with the agile teams' drama
    - no vision or clarity from product management .

    Advice to Management

Can we have less office politics from agile team members ?

    Pros

Flexibility, on-site massage, yoga discounts, gym membership discount, paid volunteer time, matching donations, tuition reimbursement, affordable health care, commuter benefits, 401(k) employer match, standing desk options, cool culture!

    Cons

Restructuring and change management challenges but this is to be expected in the tech space.
