I have been working at Weight Watchers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Opportunity to impact member's lives for the better
    - WW Plan keeps getting wiser and wiser
    - Many great co-workers
    - Opportunity/motivation to stay in touch with the WW Plan

    Cons

    - Insulting pay
    - HORRIBLE tech infrastructure- it is a complete joke
    - Poor customer service via the WW 800 number for members- it makes the meeting room teams look bad

    Advice to Management

    - Get tech up to speed. Hire more people in tech. Figure out what needs to be done and do it. This is a constant embarrassment to the front line service providers.
    - Listen more carefully to front line service providers.

    Pros

Great people to work with. Enjoyed all of my fellow workers. The company does offer good benefits.

    Cons

The company as a whole is very disjointed. The expression the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing is very relevant. In my position I was involved with the majority of the different department in the company including the international partners. On many occasion there was great disconnect company wide on technology, marketing, and strategy objectives. It seemed that most of the time we were putting out fires that coul dhave been avioded if there was better communications.

    Advice to Management

Consolidate information and communications. Have one source of truth.

I have been working at Weight Watchers part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Helping members, work from home

    Cons

Insulting low pay for increasing high expectations on the level of having a psychoanalyst degree. Leaders are no longer required to be at goal weight which is a very bad image to members.

    Advice to Management

Pay the front line better to avoid high turnover

I worked at Weight Watchers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The interaction with the members and helping them to create healthy life style changes is incredible. The training is also viable

    Cons

The barely pay you minimum wage and hours, benefits are ridiculous. It feels like they want you to only work part time

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your field staff, they are the face of Weight Watchers

I have been working at Weight Watchers part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company values align with my own. The process of assisting others is unlike any other. Feel like a team in our small meeting group teams.

    Cons

Information comes at us in lightening speed - a lot of hurry up -- NO stop situations. Change all the time. Unequal pay between leaders and receptionists.

    Advice to Management

Bring receptionist pay in line with leader pay.

I worked at Weight Watchers (Less than a year)

    Pros

The intern program and overall team size was really small, so I was treated like a full time employee. I got to work on a number of large projects, was involved in important meetings, and learned so much from the program!

    Cons

The benefits aren't the best. While lots of major tech companies offer lunch or a snack bar, the only thing offered at Weight Watchers was a fruit bar, which often ran out by 10. Also, the company is in a rough time and doesn't seem to have a vision.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be awesome and treat your employees well! But also try to narrow down your vision and market towards a younger crowd.
