I have been working at Weill Cornell Medical College full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Great people, great opportunities.

    Cons

they only offer a 0-15% increase when you apply for a promotional position. If you leave and return, you are able to negotiate more. Most ppl are returnees because of that rule. If they didn't have that rule, employees would stay forever.

I have been working at Weill Cornell Medical College full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cornell has a great benefits package, and a 35hr work week. Tuition reimbursement is also available. Their EMR is really great too.

    Cons

Room for growth can be limited as favoritism plays a large role. If you are not well like by Mgmt, no matter how hard you work, you will not move up.

    Advice to Management

    Pay close attention to performance.

I have been working at Weill Cornell Medical College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The environment at Weill Cornell is wonderful. I work with so many smart, gifted and passionate individuals. The departments I work with have for the most part be very pleasant. The benefits are great as well.

    Cons

At times, the college is slow to make changes. Communication from leadership sometimes overwhelming... too little or too much, rarely a happy medium.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in your employees and reward good work with bonuses or extra benefits, instead of giving more work.

I have been working at Weill Cornell Medical College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to seek different opportunities and grow. Benefits are very good including tuition reimbursement for self and children who attend college.

    Cons

Salary is not very competive and percentage increase is not very good.

If you are located at the 1300 York Avenue office commute is horrible as it is four long blocks from train station.
