Very supportive company to work for, I worked with them for about 10 years in different roles and had the experience of working alongside supportive colleagues and upper management. Plenty of opportunity for training and development.
Cons
Overall salary was great but one of my roles seemed to be undercompensated.

Nice Place But Don't Expect To Be Paid Well
Feb 21, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Very friendly colleagues. Most passionate about what they do. Nice office environment.
Cons
I work in back-office administration. Think HR, IT, Finance, etc. During the best of times, annual pay increases are set to 3% if you're a top performer, and 2% if you're average. This has become increasingly problematic given inflation. Even more problematic is that the admin thinks we're idiots - but we know how to read a 990. We talk. And we know that the top-level staff gets annual raises way above 2%. Most staff put up with this because they come from disadvantage communities - either minorities or 50 years old or older. But it's wrong. Know in advance if you work here you will never get a real raise unless you are promoted. And promotions are extremely difficult to attain as I can tell from my colleagues who have been here over a decade in the same exact position.

OB/GYN Department Rocks
Feb 6, 2023 - Medical Assistant in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
So far I have been employed as a medical assistant at Weill Cornell Medicine OB/GYN department for 6 months. Can be a hard job, but depending on which location in the city you work at, the doctors are very helpful. They are also very independent and are trusted when you have questions about a plan of care. Extremely knowledgable, caring, and fun. You have some doctors that are not as pleasing to work with, but the pay is good with opportunity for raises and bonuses. You get a moderately generous personal/vacation allowance, and the benefits are nice.
Cons
A lot of mismanagement on the clinical side. 1. You only get your assignment/start time for the next day, the day before. Can be frustrating to plan things outside of work. 2. Their are only 2 nursing managers for the entire department, so when there are small problems that should be handles practice to practice, it can be difficult to find solutions. 3. You get floated :( after 6-months, you are expected to float to different locations to help. 4. Training is minimal and it will be hard to keep up without some prior experience.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Comprehensive insurance and benefits; Brilliant colleagues and a good environment.
Cons
Low income with strict requirement
