    Pros

Best corporate office to work with. They want to help you succeed. Customer service is awesome!
Highest commission pay rate out there

    Cons

If you are afraid of working straight commission this is not the job for you. But if you are a confident Account Executive who is not afraid of a little rejection the potential of making great money is there.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Welcome Wagon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    NO micro-management,
    Uncapped earning potential,
    Work from home,
    Commissioned Employee plus benefits,
    True Family environment,
CEO that is still involved directly with all aspects of the business,
    Positive work environment,
    Great commission structure,
    Lots of extra earning contest,
Product quality is the best available in the print market and new digital offerings are opening more doors.

    Cons

Back office csr is a little clunky and needs an Upgrade to something that can support marketing executives via smartphones.

    Advice to Management

Please open up the digital product to sell to all print clients not just welcome book clients.. Find a better CSR such as salesforce to support reps.

    Pros

Excellent training and product targeted at the new home buyers. Must be self motivated and work hard but it does pay off when you do.

    Cons

If you're not willing to work hard, then you will not be successful. Not a job for someone who isn't self disciplined and can/will work independently. Must manage your time wisely and follow through.

    Advice to Management

Reward long term proven sales execs with a base salary.

I worked at Welcome Wagon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility. I can't think of anything else.

    Cons

Terrible product. There are so many better ways to advertise that are far more effective. I can't stand behind a product that is way too expensive and ineffective. Management doesn't listen to what people are actually saying. They want to believe that people want to advertise with them.

    Advice to Management

Rethink your business model. You are outdated.

    Pros

No traffic getting to the office.

    Cons

We were asked to review job on Glassdoor. I saw surprising, negative reviews ...and all the cons stated have come true. A fairytale job for a working mother wanting to create their own schedule but that isn't the case. Our "manager" consistently nags and expects her team to work 8 hours, 5 days a week on a 100% commission based job that reaps little reward in the end. The product is a sham... small businesses being promised something that is not being delivered.

    Advice to Management

Consistently hire quality "managers". And do for small business owner/ customers what you say you're going to do.

I worked at Welcome Wagon (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Making your own hours and have independence, having a protected territory.

    Cons

A lot of businesses either had never heard of Welcome Wagon, so more marketing their brand awareness. Many would not renew because they got little to no results. The list of names that went to the businesses of whom we sent the directories to were very poor and resulted in the business receiving a lot of returned mail on any follow up mailings that they did.

    Advice to Management

Use good clean mailing lists and be honest.

    Pros

I met a few nice women in the organization; most of them are ex-realtors who have no other option but to wear extra make up, bat their eyelashes and pray for the sale.

    Cons

Welcome Wagon is no longer welcome at most businesses. The expensive advertising the reps sell does not produce results. I worked for them for over a year and felt embarrassed in front of the clients I sold advertising to; they lost money each and every time. The advertising DOESN'T work. Businesses know this, and you end up knocking on doors and being treated like you are trying to promote porn!

    Advice to Management

Your product is archaic; focus on content marketing/advertising.

I have been working at Welcome Wagon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This position offers freedom to schedule appointments that accommodate your weekly schedule.

    Cons

This position offers no salary. 100% commission. Micro-management on a daily basis. The goals are completely unrealistic. No territory or pricing structure. Unrealistic goals and the micro- management make it for a very demotivating position.

    Advice to Management

Need to offer a salary, professional management, realistic goals and better training!! The training process is terrible and belittling!!
