Pros
Work with the top grossing doctor at Wellhaven and he is truly amazing to work for. He stands up for all the support staff from abusive clients and he is truly thankful for all our hard work and voices his appreciation multiple times a database means what he says
Cons
Do not get paid enough for how much we donor for all the responsibilities we take on or the extra hours we work after hours or into our lunch hours.

Pros
Good benefits, caring management and co-workers, wellness oriented care for pets, pet benefits
Cons
All health care jobs are stressful, pets and their owners always have the potential to be difficult, medical care needs to be paid for, like it or not

Pros
Quick response to job application.
Cons
Not enough employees: I was hired directly after finishing my veterinary assistant certification training. At the time, I WAS the veterinary assistant. The practice was a two doctor practice that became a one doctor practice in my time there. The single LVT there IS the practice manager. She works 60+ hr weeks. Business was very slow and no more than a few staff on hand. No one was available to train me and I spent more time cleaning, hanging flyers on neighboring residents doors than actually performing veterinary assistant duties. I was fired over the phone on my day off (after the veterinarian who DID like me left) for allegedly butting heads with the sole veterinarian.

Cons
Some processes are not completely clear

Pros
Pay is decent, most people seem happy at my location.
Cons
Not much room to make more/get raises, very demanding position.

Pros
Principal Veterinarians are in charge of each clinic and operate semi-independently from corporate.
Cons
Wellhaven philosophy of cross training everyone to be able to complete all tasks is a great theory, but in reality, it gets messy when the clinic is busy. It's hard to prioritize which task to complete when you feel like you are supposed to complete all of them.

Pros
Good mix of people Fun job
Cons
No rules No one gets fired for anything even when its truly needed...

Pros
Guaranteed 40hr work week. Far pay. Honest management. Great staff.
Cons
E-vet is glitchy. Overwhelming call volume, need to upgrade phone system. Wellhaven Corp is hands off, so each location is wildly different.
