    Pros

Great opportunity to learn as much as you cared to about company and everyday goals. Great staff and support. Great benefits

    Cons

Management played favorites and were inconsistent when it came to all employees. Team leads were unprofessional when the boss left the building.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when you ask for opinions. Pay more attention to your Team Leads and observe how they interact with all staff and not just their favorites.

I worked at WellPoint as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy place to work, Management was very good, met a lot of great people that are still good friends.

    Cons

30 minute lunches, temporary position, initial training was a bit weak.

    Advice to Management

Set up better initial training, increase lunch time to 1 hour.

    I worked at WellPoint full-time

    Pros

Training was very complete and detailed. The team organization helped to facilitate support in the working community. Management was accessible.

    Cons

it was difficult for me to sit and take calls for an 8 hour shift. There was much change and transition in the position at that time. The job had morphed into one of asking standardized questions rather than being a health educator where information was provided to members on a variety of subjects. The monitoring and subsequent critique/rating was frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

A more individualized approach to monitoring/review of daily functions would help to boost morale of the employees.

I worked at WellPoint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The center I worked at we were able to really bond with our co-workers and create lasting friendships. It's a great feeling when you are able to be someone's advocate when they otherwise wouldn't known any better.

    Cons

The position is micromanaged beyond necessity. They have added additional measures to micromanage after I left. The department was very understaffed when I left and hadn't even started posting positions to fill the many that needed asap.

    Advice to Management

Not every single thing on the job needs to be tracked and measured. You have created an environment that breads contempt for the company and co-workers you put in the position to hound and constantly breath down each others neck.

Nothing specifically - may be lower rate of organizational changes will be good... Drives less anxiety within employees... Too much WFH culture
