I worked at Wellex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work environment. They were able to accommodate my requests for flexible hours when needed. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere.

    Cons

Business was doing poorly without strong leadership which made the job much more difficult. Ended up doing 2 jobs for the compensation of one.

    Advice to Management

Needed to focus on sales right away instead of nitpicking about internal details.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Wellex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Absolutely nothing. Only pro is me never having to go back there.

    Cons

Everything! Wellex is a electronics manufacturing company ran by Chinese people. The pay is awful at $8.00/hr regardless how many decades you work there. Facility is infested with cockroaches. Upper management and engineers are a joke (highly doubt these engineers have any degrees). Old fashioned thinking with no chance with this company growing. Jobs take no skill to do. Avoid working here unless you can't get a job at your local fast food joint.

    I worked at Wellex full-time

    Pros

Very friendly working environment. People are nice here. A lot of room for growt. Free coffee/snacks/beverages

    Cons

Management - not enough employee/manager relation. a lot of processes are still up in the air. Too much hierarchy (too many power trips from managers). A lot of managers do NOT lead by example.

    I worked at Wellex full-time

    Pros

Not much honestly. The only good thing is that some of the coworkers are great but that's about it.

    Cons

Where do I even begin. Well, first, the manager for this company is horrible. No one really knows what is going on. The company is laying off people left and right as the week goes by. There are no new customer for this company. The HR would say stuff that you will want to hear to get you to join but then none of it is true. The technology is outdated. None of the manufacture procedures are actually followed.

    Avoid at all cost.

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees and update the technology!

    I worked at Wellex full-time

    Pros

In general the employees provide a good environment to work in.

    Cons

Too far behind on basics of the required technologies to compete in the EMS world - one new SMT line, but most of the rest of the equipment is 20+ years old, with no structured preventive maintenance program.

Many employees have been there for over 20 years as well, but the disservice to them is that there is not a quality training program that allows them to stay current with the skills required tom compete in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Invest in technology, invest in quality training for employees...also, hire a consultant to provide solid advice on the areas that need improvement - getting and following up on that input is the only way the company will survive.

I worked at Wellex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work, very friendly staff and management. Was welcomed straight away, felt like a very integral part of the company for my duration there. Because its a smaller company your not just a cog in the wheel. You also have the chance to make a large contribution to projects you work on, which is good for your demo reel. The pipeline is organised and ran well. Management have a lot of joint experience in production, which makes the studio run very well. Core team members are very talented as are the short term employees brought on temporarily. The company makes smart decisions on project choices. Overall a very fun happy place to work with good management and great artists.

    Cons

Smaller studio just starting to get noticed. As a smaller company the pay is not as good as some more established companies, but room to grow with a company heading in the right direction. Sometimes staff will need to put in extra work with no overtime but meals are provided. But you get out what you put in so not that bad.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Keep picking good projects that will give you more credibility.
