I worked at Wellington Steele & Associate full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to contract through. I was a contractor with them for a little over 2 years and I had (almost) zero complaints.

    Cons

401k options aren't the best; if your contract needs to be renewed frequently slightly more

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Wellington Steele & Associate full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice, friendly, helpful staff. In my case, paid well. 401(k) but no match. Good health insurance options and they pay most of it. PTO that accrues, with paid holidays also.

    Cons

Good at landing you a contract, bad at being pro-active at lining up new contracts even with notice your contract is ending.

    Advice to Management

You have a great thing going here but to keep from losing people to other contracting houses or to FT jobs, be more pro-active in lining up new jobs for your people as their contract renewal date approaches. Check in with contractors as the end date nears; I suggest start 30 days ahead of their end date. Ask questions like, Do you want to stay there if they want to renew you? Do you think they will want to renew you and if not, why not? Have you been told of looming layoffs or belt-tightening moves? In short, to stay on top of your employees' situations, take the initiative. Otherwise you are just another body shop with better than average terms, which alas is not enough to really distinguish you from the national employment chains that do high volume but have low retention like TAC, Tek, Modis, etc.
