I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary is good but that is about it.

    Cons

Super micro-managing of daily activities. No room for work flexibility, a hassle to take your vacation and or sick time. Encouragement of terrible managers who advise unethical behavior. Senior management does not seem to care about employee retention or about creating a supportive and encouraging culture for employees.
I would not recommend friend unless you are in dire need of a job. It is honestly one of the worst places I have ever worked.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on customer service and taking into account what your employees say that will help create more efficient ways of doing business. Also create an environment where employees and management do not have to feel as if they need to behave unethically to meet goals

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Got to meet people, network, and learn about banking, lending, mortgage

    Cons

Advertised as a sales job where you can earn commission but ended up more of a service job where you were stressed and doing 5 things at once

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The team I worked with were all great and very multi-cultural and easy to get along with to make sales goals.

    Cons

The pressure from corporate to make sales goals in what personally felt unethical, was on a weekly basis.

    Advice to Management

Make reasonable profit goals instead of trying to be a corporate monster in the financial industry, this will increase employee morale and help your initiative to bring new customers over by being fair and reasonable

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Start off salary for non banking experience history is a a pro! start you off at $18 and some change!

    Cons

    So many...
advancement opportunities are very very little...
they stress you out to much to reach your goals....which are impossible depending where your branch is located...
if you don't reach daily goals you stay for call nights which is an hour or two after your shift is up.... which i honestly like to call "Detention"

    Advice to Management

Please learn on how not to stress your employees... because if you keep bumping up the goals yearly then you are join to see more and more of your ethical employees go unethical like on the situation that happened in California...

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good benefits (Paid Time Off, health, tuition reimbursement, etc.)

    Cons

Unrealistic goals, long hours, stress. If you are a teller you'll be expected to stand on your feet from 9 to 5!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like human beings

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The training is comprehensivet. However...

    Cons

    (1) The people that are training you to become a financial advisor are people that have failed at the profession. Your branch manager plays such a huge part in your success or failure and it seems to be by chance whether or not the manager is any good. My manager is more of an impediment than any help.

    (2) Anyone can make it as a financial advisor if they can last five years in the business. however, the compensation structure is such that most people will be unable to make it past two years. If you have a giant nest egg, this could be a great choice. But most of us do not and 4 percent of advisors will last past four years.

    Advice to Management

If I had been given just ONE account, I think I would have felt differently. But I get no help from anyone.

    Pros

good benefits package, flexibility with hours, they offer part time hours

    Cons

Training focused more on making sales goals and how to empathize with customers, than actually learning the computer system.

    Advice to Management

Training should continue for another week, on the teller line, buddied up with a lead teller or service manager.
