I have been working at Wells Fargo (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

    Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!

    Advice to Management

Cross sell expectations are going to destroy the customers experience after all tenured employees are fired. All that will be left are employees that cross sell and could not resolve a true complex issue.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Team building was great, great training program, creating awesome customer relationships and always worked full time hours when I was hired as a part time employee.

    Cons

If you are not a sales producer than you have no chance here, upper management views you as as number and bonuses and hourly pay should be much more for dealing with lots of products and finances that are serviced.

    Advice to Management

Support employees below the management level and put the customers actual financial needs first which doesn't always involve a product, it could just mean doing right by the customer and having them buy into the branch employees that are called the face of the company.

I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    ●Great team environment
    ●Excellent benefits package
    ●nice lay off package
    ●promotes within

    Cons

    ● lay offs
    ● treats temps as step children
●if position is being laid off hard to get different position within the company

    Advice to Management

●Your employees are loyal to you. (Even the temps) should find a better way to avoid the lay offs especially when you have other positions available. Why not train the staff you have versus hiring outside people.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time

    Pros

Lots of technology to play with, great mix of people to work with, ample opportunity to advance if you really give your best

    Cons

No place is perfect, neither is Wells, there are challenges with management and employees but nothing that is insurmountable

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Take note of the potential and grow morale and optimism by listening and making good decisions.
