I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for, has a ton of benefit for their employee's. They promote from with in so as long as you meet the requirements and an engaged player you will move up quickly. This company is perfect for a go getter!

    Cons

The only down side can be working weekend hours. And when short staffed will be working multiple hours of OT so if you have a family it can be difficult to manage everything

    Advice to Management

At times it can be a bit micro managing, be careful how you teach and coach employees, not everyone takes well to a micro management approach

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to get started with, excellent training program, great benefits, strong brand name

    Cons

Pay is below industry standards, since they're so big, it takes a long time to get things done (processing loans etc)

    Advice to Management

Focus on shortening the process, cutting out unnecessary work that adds to the process and in the end, hurts the client

    Pros

I have worked for Wells Fargo for almost two years. I started as a teller and moved to a lead teller position. Wells has an extensive and great training program. They invest in their employees. In my district, I see my district manager every week and it feels less like a huge corporate company and more like extended family. Wells has great benefits and great incentive plans. Sales goals have consistently been lowered every year. Wells is focusing more on ethics and customer service than sales. You can get promoted in less than a year, like I did, if you work hard, take the initiative and ask for help you will succeed. Sales are extremely easy to achieve. Customer service is wells number one priority. You need to be customer orientated. The branch is extremely fun and high energy makes people excited to come to work. In comparison to Chase or BOA, Wells is the way to go. They invest more time and money into their employees and care about their development.

    Cons

Hours are tough. Working 9-6 or like my branch,10-7 can be very tough. Not having a set schedule or working at a Sunday open branch is also difficult. Most branches are going to be transitioning soon to sunday open branches. The pilot program is going well and bringing in an increase in profit. Customer's can be entitled jerks.

    Advice to Management

Take time to get to know even your tellers. They are the face of the company. If the store manager and district manager engage our tellers, the tellers will be more likely to stay and provide great customer service.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefit (health insurance, dental insurance, vision, 401K)
Paid time off increased after 3 years working with the company

    Cons

Unreasonable sale goals (increase every year with no additional payout)
Unrealistic customer service level (some customers will get a call to rate our service about their visit at the bank, 1 as the lowest and 5 as the highest, each customers will rated our service from waited time to making them feel welcome. If we get anything less than 5 then it is automatically consider to negative score on us which we will get write up for it.)

    Advice to Management

Don't be a pretentious individual that set a unreasonable high standard for everyone to follow through, you should ask yourself first if you can live up these standard yourself before expecting anyone else.

Former Employee - Credit Manager in Bellevue, WA

    Pros

It's a good place to learn basic sales skills
They offer great benefits and bonus incentives
    Good upper level management

    Cons

    Prepare to be micromanaged
The pay is only good if you meet the monthly criteria of product goals, which in this economy isn't the easiest thing to do.

    Advice to Management

Put in place incentives that are actually obtainable, employees quickly lose motivation when they realize they have to live off of their base salary.
