I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They provide a good benefit package.

    Cons

Fight for an initial high salary as their wage increases will not keep up. New employees were starting at much high levels than those employees that had been there for many more years. Career growth was always considered a lateral move per HR.

    Advice to Management

Provide the employess with better career growth opportunites without having to take a wage decrease.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had the best team and manager I have ever had.
    The work was fairly intuitive.
Great way to learn customer service and develop client relations.
    Okay growth potential.
    Good benefits.
Solid foundation for introductory finance jobs.

    Cons

    Insane rate of turnover.
Lower management does a great job, but upper management does not pay much if any attention.
High sales goals to with little bonus.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the subordinate employees.
Facilitate better lines of communication to enhance customer experience.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time

    Pros

The company really takes the time to make me feel valued as an employee and in return I deliver exceptional customer service to our guests

    Cons

It is a super corporate environment and can seem pretentious at times. Smiling is the biggest part of my job description in my opinion

    Advice to Management

Continue to grow from within. I see many regional managers who are making very good money and they are all very young--that is very encouraging for me. Also, John Stumpf started as a part-time teller. That is extremely encouraging to me as well!

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Promotions happen very frequently if you prove yourself. 401(k) match up to 6%, good employee benefits. Good coaching in sales and cross-selling. Very fun work environment if you have the right team.

    Cons

Sales goals are very challenging and encourage cheating for employees to reach each level, (Gold, Silver, Bronze). High pressure sales lead to mistakes and mismanagement of accounts, which leads to up to 50% of your day cleaning up other banker's messes. Customer satisfaction surveys are based on pass/fail, and "pass" is no less than 100% perfect, making it very difficult to attain. Salary should be higher as it is known as the highest pressure bank in terms of sales.

    Advice to Management

Advice to corporate- significantly lower your sales goals. Daily solutions do not make the company more money- setting up a customer with yet another checking account is not in your best interest!

-Very fast paced and high energy

    Cons

    -Unrealistic sales expectation
-Not a good balance between work and family life

    Advice to Management

-Develop team members/ show more interest in getting to know the individual

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Was a good intro to sales and great if you don't have a conscious. Decent pay. You will get a job if you know someone there.

    Cons

Life depends on sales. Horrible leadership. No morals or integrity. Managers promote unethical behavior. Wouldn't recommend an enemy to work here.

  9. "Good for experience, high turnover"

    Pros

Good for earning experience within the banking industry, benefits aren't bad, starting salaries higher than many other places/banks

    Cons

Miserable working environment, high stress, poor management, poor sales tactics encouraged

    Advice to Management

Fix the integrity of management to hold on to better, honest employees. High turnover is not a good thing and your employees are tired of it. Listen to them, do what is right for the customers, and people will work harder for you.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits are good.

    Cons

    - Starting pay is low and difficult to negotiate for the area.
    - If your store is not meeting sales and customer service threshold as a whole, you are not qualified to be promoted even if you are exceeding your individual sales/service threshold.
    - Bankers are unwilling to uncover customer financial priorities resulting in failed teller referral solutions.

    Advice to Management

Promotions should be based on a personal growth and development not on the outcome of your entire branch.
