I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Good people. Supportive encouraging culture. Good work/life balance. Opportunity to move across different units of the company. Very sad that a few bad apples at senior level have brought so much reputational damage.

    Cons

Can be slow and difficult to drive decisions, get agreement and get things done. Huge size means too many people want a say in every decision, and hard to find the person who can actually green light decisions. Accountability is not clear. Massive change both internally driven and regulatory, makes it hard to get things done and hard to see all the initiatives that may influence your projects. Easy to be there a long...

    Advice to Management

Agree key priorities for the firm. Agree key initiatives by business under these. Stay focused on them to make progress. Increase accountability and drive down decision making.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Benefits of working for a large firm include stability, steady pace, and standard benefits

    Cons

Did not feel a grouped sense of motivation towards a common goal; cog in the wheel feelings at some points

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

As a college student, the various shifts available allowed me to have flexibility in working different hours depending on my school schedule.

At times there were too many tellers in the pool and I couldn’t work as many hours as I wanted.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Decent benefits. Good continued training available.

    Cons

Ethics and values of the higher ups is just for show. Managers are not loyal to staff. Me me me mentality. Great is still not good enough. Fake atmosphere - Everyone scared of losing their job.

    Advice to Management

Atmosphere does not feel like anything is your choice. Not everyone can be a manager or vp. Pushing employees into positions they don’t want but are afraid to say no to builds a team that are not particularly content. Everyone suffers. Constant change, knee jerk reactions. Unhappy staff.
