I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay. Sales bonus opportunity. Extensive benefits from medical to tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

The sales aspect of it is pushed very hard to the team members and they really try to make you become a corporate robot with the training and wording they want you to use.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote just because no one else applied.

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

The company as a whole has great goals for helping local communities and wanting customers to succeed financially. They definitely offer good benefits and make it easy to sign up for them. Very comprehensive training and you can usually bond with coworkers by saying how much you hate Wells Fargo.

    Cons

But the way they train managers is to put too much pressure on the bankers and tellers to make sales, when the managers themselves don't have to do any sales. They push you to meet your goals so they get their bonus which is like $3500 compared to your measly 200 if you even bonus with their ridiculously high sales goals and underhanded tactics of "not giving the customer an option to say no".

    Advice to Management

Your team doesn't need you on their backs all of the time about sales. They know their goals and they want their bonus, they're going to do their best and you putting them down because their best is not enough for you, just makes them more resentful.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Name recognition , various locations around the country, 401 k 6% match, profit sharing, PTO(vacation time)

    Cons

Constant drive for sales, it never gets better, no funds for any type of events, employees have to gather their own money for Christmas parties or pizza for mandatory meetings staying after hours, etc. tremendous amount of pressure on employees, low pay

    Advice to Management

Focus on organic growth, invest in talent and employee retention, hire more mature people, invest in facilities
