I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Hours, work days. Love working in operations. Very professional work place. Great volunteer opportunity. Our manager does an amazing job at promoting an encouraging, positive environment.

    Cons

Not fair pay, no bouns. Not enough recognition of how the client associate is a big part of Financial Advisors business growth.

    Advice to Management

Could work better with providing better understanding to Financial Advisor on how appreciation to client associate makes a difference in the grow of their business.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Household name, stability, and some of the ethical people who make your time their enjoyable

    Cons

The environment created at the line of business Well Fargo acquired from GE Capital known as Commercial Distribution Finance proved to be unhealthy in just 2 months into my experience. Particularly, the Program Services department displayed weird, cultish behavior. This line of business despised having been acquired by Wells Fargo, and did not uphold the company values. Their idea of diversity & inclusion is contracting a bunch of African Americans, making them prove themselves before hired on as employees and treating them subpar (actions & behaviors) meanwhile. Family members and friends are hired on, and favored creating an unethical, unhealthy, and cult-like environment with limited opportunities for others. Being a true orange personality with a level of confidence, zeal, and creativity, this was not the environment for me. Be aware of employment agency, Insight Global who works with this division/department. Both will insult your intelligence, lie to you to reel you in, and preserve a bigger salaries for their friends & family. The starting salary for the Program Associate position is laughable unless you are truly entry level in your career.

    Advice to Management

Micromanaging does not increase productivity, and certainly limits creativity. It is disadvantageous and insulting to fill contractor roles with 90% African Americans.

I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are extraordinarily understanding and accommodating when it comes to work/life balance. They let you work at your pace and are not so metrics driven. They want quality work. Surprisingly, they are open to new ways of doing things and implement new workflows quickly.

    Cons

It would be cool if when you’re done with your case load for the day you could go home vs trying to find busy work to log in hours.

    Advice to Management

Remediation projects should be managed differently than hourly employees. Project work should be categorized and worked diligently until category completion. What we’re doing works well but there is always room for improvement.
