I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. Fight hard for your pay upfront and you will be good. Free lunches monthly

    Cons

Management won't work with you if you are not a favorite. Lots of petty people who are just waiting to retire.

    Advice to Management

Stop talking about other employees in your office, it is beneath you.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Hours, work days. Love working in operations. Very professional work place. Great volunteer opportunity. Our manager does an amazing job at promoting an encouraging, positive environment.

    Cons

Not fair pay, no bouns. Not enough recognition of how the client associate is a big part of Financial Advisors business growth.

    Advice to Management

Could work better with providing better understanding to Financial Advisor on how appreciation to client associate makes a difference in the grow of their business.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers which made a great work environment, initial PTO from day one, great experience if you do not have a college degree, promote internally, college tuition reimbursement

    Cons

Worked 7 days a week occasionally (some stores were open on Sunday, they are no longer to my knowledge), unrealistic sales goals (addressed publicly after I left the company), some of the customers truly tested my patience.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, educate your employees on credit and lending so they can educate the public,

    Pros

Very good base of clientele, top notch systems, platforms, educational resources, opportunity for advancement and really good people to work with. Company is more financially sound than most institutions and is VERY diversified (Warren Buffet owns 10% of its stock).

    Cons

Be prepared for possible animosity between legacy Wachovia team members vs. Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is very efficient in right-sizing without incurring large expenses to do so. This is a very bottom-line oriented company that looks for a 15% return on investment regarding anything it does. That means if sharpening a pencil doesn't return 15% to the bottom line, then don't do it. Large disconnect between the cultural philosophies of the "old Wachovians" and Wells Fargo. Wachovia was much more "customer centric" and customer loyalty driven but did a very poor job of enforcing policies and procedures, which is part of the reason it was assimilated.

    Advice to Management

Place more focus and attention on client-facing employees who are dealing with very irate customer situations on a daily basis. Your Operational counterparts and back-office personnel in St. Louis, Jacksonville, Richmond and Philadelphia are making major errors with no accountability or known course of corrective action taking place.
