    Approves of CEO

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The bank has been extremely well positioned to take advantage of its size and with new leadership might finally fulfill its potential. Allen Parker (interim CEO) seems to be doing his best and hopefully the new CEO will be able to change the culture at the bank.

    Cons

Current senior management is lacking. There is a lot of talk about "People as a Competitive Advantage", but little true follow through. Additionally, the hard driving sales culture still exists with leadership being all sales or former sales. Management seem to be enamored with the sales persons skills at selling and buy in far to easily to the slick talking team members. Additionally, I see the most... truthful, honest, and dedicated people either leaving or being pushed out.

    Advice to Management

Take some of the HR training courses that are offered at the bank on leadership, or better yet, have someone come in from one of the top business schools and actually mandate everyone 4 levels below the CEO take the course and learn from it lead a session on leadership.

    Advice to Management

Remove the redundancy repetitive management roles with titles. Update your technology - Give MORE support at all levels- including your administrative staff. Trim the expenses- Need rules on spending and the utilization of corporate card to be firm and concise.
