I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Wells Fargo is a fantastic place to work most of the time. They offer competitive pay, career advancement, and a host of other benefits that are hard to find elsewhere.

    Cons

Overzealous branch management can sour an otherwise excellent work experience. They are encouraged to micro-manage which negates any feelings of empowerment or value that the company otherwise provides.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to coach individual employees and stop treating financial professionals as children.

    Pros

Health insurance benefits are really good and they give you volunteer hours to use during work hours, but it's optional

The amount you are paid compared to the work load is not proportionate. You are stressed out ever day because of he work load.

The on-boarding and training processes need to be more transparent. Multiple training period estimates were given which ended up cancelling previously purchased travel plans.

I have been working at Wells Fargo for more than 9 years

    Pros

Pay is at or above market, the people are fantastic and great to work with, ability to work remote is a plus

    Cons

moving jobs offshore, company is constantly re-organizing, contractors can only stay on for 18 months then need to take 6 months off

    Advice to Management

Please stop sending jobs offshore and keep the jobs in the US. The bank is losing a lot of really great people who know their job and have history about the applications, people, and projects.

Former Employee - Personal Banker I in Gilbert, AZ

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

Insurance, steady pay, life experience, good networking possibilities

      Cons

Sales pressure, sometimes they try to have you do unethical things, incentive compensation sucks, they took the big all expense trips away from the common worker but not management. Plus a really long list.

      Advice to Management

Actually do what the trainings tell you. And I have done them so I know. Rather than just pushing numbers and unethical behavior.
