I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good company overall, I’ve been with them for 9 years now. Diversity, great benefits, time off to volunteer, paid time off and holidays plus 2 personal holidays. Leadership seems to care more about employees input, especially in the past 2 years. No sales goals (mostly customer service oriented performance targets)

    Cons

Advancement can be a challenge, mainly due to size of the company, which creates a lot of competition for most openings. Cost of health insurance has gone up quite a bit over my tenure here. Constant changes in response to fake accounts scandal, no consistency across the footprint and between the various departments. Bonuses have been cut more and more in the past two years

    Advice to Management

Talent retention is almost non existent at this point. Management has been so focused on reinventing the company that they’ve been neglecting bank’s shining stars. The pay isn’t as competitive as it used to be. I’ve seen several long time colleagues that were excellent in their roles leave in the past few month and more are on the way out including myself. As much as I love Wells Fargo, I’ve stopped seeing future in it in the past year, recruiters of other firms are aggressive with their offers and pursuit, while management is stuck adjusting to “change for the better”.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

i love working for wells fargo the company itself and interacting with our customers that call in everyday .

    Cons

i had constantly problem with wells fargo when it was time to be paid one time i went 3 weeks without been paid due to unprofessional processing document in the adp payroll department which is so not right after being involved in 142.billion lawsuit class act they play with people money to much complaints about our customers account being hacked and fraud and account set up with incorrect information that was nevered authorized through the party alot of wrong business going on and i think they should adhere and be responsible for every action thats was taking placed .

    Advice to Management

really need to look into this matter so that it wont hurt wells fargo reputation no more than it already is .

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Culture, employee engagement, employee development, benefits, trained and competent leadership.

    Cons

Had an issue I brought up to the HR hotline and the vibe was very pro management protection and employee belittlement. I experienced this well before the companies legal fallout and came to understand after the fact that this behavior permeated the upper echelons of the company.

    Advice to Management

Management was above average to excellent in my experience. It seemed as though the branch stores had the most visible signs of poor management and practices.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Employer 401k contributions and matching program. There are some genuine people within the organization that make coming into the office easier. With certain positions you are able to work remotely if needed to finish work or assigned tasks.

    Cons

PTO is combined with sick days. Compensation is a joke. I work primarily with sales consultants and most treat you as number rather than an individual. Workload to employee ratio is ridiculous. Constantly working overtime however, not compensated for it. Overtime is treated as an expectation rather than a personal choice. Wells Fargo doesn't seem to value their employees or give them a healthy work to home life balance.

    Advice to Management

Along with cleaning up external mistakes , clean up internally and show that you value your employees and understand their needs and concerns. Happy employees will produce Happy clients!
