I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Recognizable name on resume
Having a job after college lined up
Using the program to leave to a better opportunity either within the bank or elsewhere

    Cons

    Poor pay
    Toxic culture
    No accountability for work/process
    No snacks, sodas, etc
Being told to “copy what was done last quarter” when it wasn’t done correctly in the first place

    Advice to Management

Management isn’t concerned. As long as the stagecoach wheels keep turning and super conservative loans are made they will continue to operate this way. Everyone is replaceable.

    Pros

The benefits are very good and there is room for growth with the company, it's just very difficult to leave retail banking

The salary is not very challenging and the compensation structure has changed for the worse

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Reasonable benefits (401k, health & dental insurance, etc.) , pay is equitable compared to market, and good training programs.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be improved. Salary increases are not competitive for promoted employees.

    Advice to Management

Management should do more to promote from within versus look outside for candidates.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It’s a good company offers great pay and benefits.

    Cons

This place is a mafia as people start getting promoted and eventually become managers they bring their own people in no matter if the person they are bringing in is prepared for the new role or not.

    Advice to Management

Advice to management will be to have corporate interview and choose new candidates and not district managers.

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wells Fargo is a great place to get experience working with customers and learning to provide great customer service. Wells Fargo is great with getting cash handling experience, great job for being a student because it is part time and only work days, no nights or Sundays. (depending on branch)

    Cons

It takes way too long to advance within the company. Shady sales tactics by some bankers in order to hit their quotas. Products that will give customers fees instead of helping them grow their wealth.

    Advice to Management

Help any current employees find the career path that best suites their goals.

    Pros

You can quickly move up in management on the operations side.

    Cons

But once you get promoted, there is no more movement beyond that. They think you want to be a service a manager forever.

    Advice to Management

Your culture needs work but everyone knows it after the fake account scandal.
