I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked at this company for 12+ Years. What I liked most about the company were the people I directly interacted with on a daily basis. Everyone was genuine and cared about each other. I left for personal career growth opportunities at another firm.

    Cons

Large corporation with a lot of government regulation. Public company driven to please it shareholders. Loses sight of the importance of its team members.

I worked at Wells Fargo (More than a year)

    Pros

Mortgage origination system is the best I have ever seen in the industry, Underwriters will actually call you to review the loan, Jumbo pricing is by far the best in the industry. Unless you compete with another bank all Jumbo loans are yours. Very relaxed environment, no micro managing. You will be running you own business.

    Cons

    Bank referrals are gone
You are to bring in your own business, dont count on enterprise to give you anything
managers are just lazy, and well protected, company will fire you before questioning them.
Jumbo Self employed income calculation is very conservative, some loans will end up funding at other banks
be ready for office POLITICS!!!! O yeah, lots of Drama and Politics
    Conforming pricing sucks
    FHA? hah
very restrictive on kind of marketing you can do (this is a large bank after all)

    Advice to Management

Make sure you hold branch managers accountable.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has some great benefits and some wonderful team members. You can really have a family at work. Many people have been at the company for 10plus years so plenty of experience.

    Cons

The company stopped caring about their employees, the leadership is awful. The company and taken a turn for the worst, retaliation seems to be encouraged and HR doesn't act when problems are presented. They only address when government gets involved.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the team members and remember it takes each and everyone of them to make a successful business and environment. You say you treat your customers and team members the same be very careful because your going to run short on both if you don't change your direction very soon.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It is a large company and therefore it would be difficult for it to fail. However, like all large financial institutions it needs improvement with processes and procedures.

    Cons

Wells Fargo's ongoing troubles are well-documented in the media. They are over-regulated with too much bureaucracy and very high employee turnover.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the employees who are actually doing the job; not their leaders, human resources and/or lawyers who do not know enough to make an effective and efficient decision. It appears most decisions are made to avoid litigation than do what is best for the customer, employee of shareholder.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Depending on the manager, flexible schedule
    Advancement to underwriting possible
Decent wage structure and bonus opportunities

    Cons

    Managers changed frequently
Loan processing in branch was a customer service nightmare
Fake accounts being opened are only 1/10th of the problem

    Advice to Management

You should have listened when you were told unethical things were happening

I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great health benefits, 401K plan that was matched, paid time off, opportunities to earn quarterly bonuses if sales goals are met.

    Cons

Required sales goals were simply unobtainable. The merger with Wachovia also brought a mandatory script with all customers, including those that have been using the same branch for several years, that was robotic and came off as disingenuous.

    Advice to Management

Corporate restructuring is needed to alter the existing profit projections to a more workable figure. Current sales goals are impossible.

    Pros

Company provides adequate resources to do my job, and management structure is very flat.

    Cons

Compliance and "red tape" associated with being part of Wells Fargo is sometimes not appropriate for a business in the insurance space.
