I worked at Wells Fargo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid training. Nice people to work with.

    Cons

Low wages, less benefits. The branch assigned to me is way too far from where I live (more than 40 miles). In stead of assigning me to a community where my bilingual ability can benefit the company, they put me where I had no way to use my ability. The management pushed everyone to solicit customers to open more accounts if you don't have customers open more accounts, your job will be in jeopardy.

    Advice to Management

Recruiting needs to be scrutinized more to assign the right people, right positions and right branches.

    Pros

Great team engagement. Great training program and benefits. Engaging coaching sessions and one on one meetings for sales and compliance.

    Cons

Sales aren't for everyone.Sometimes there was too much coaching and monitoring of performance, it could be stressful. Hard to request some times off.

    Advice to Management

Invest in managers that can motivate their employees in a productive and respectful way.

I worked at Wells Fargo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

There some very smart people working at Wells Fargo. The company offer a really good work environment and perks.

    Cons

The disconnect between application development team and Enterprise causes problems that impact the software development efforts.Additionally, specifically to the team I worked with, they didn't have good onboarding procedures.

    Advice to Management

Create more meaning engagement between Enterprise IT team and product development team in the business units to minimize the impact to their software development efforts.

    Pros

Strong inclusive culture, recognition of career minded team members, opportunities for advancement, strong tuition reimbursement, more than 80 business lines of employment.

    Cons

Current culture change creates struggles within business units, a bit too much "I'm sorry" instead of action regarding lawsuit.
