I have been working at Wells Fargo as an intern

    Pros

I have gained a significant amount of relevant information about private wealth advisory from working around various senior financial advisors.

    Cons

The responsibilities largely consist of cold calling to prospective clients for a specific financial advisor. The work is repetitive and has a very low success rate.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility with hours, that is literally it.

    Cons

I feel the need to be completely honest here before another poor post grad kid with a masters in finance is sucked in to this place. It's a boring, data entry job. You are doing the same task over and over again, some are easier than others but overall you are doing the same one thing for 8 hours a day. Management is so beyond removed. You will have either a micromanaging fly for a manager or a completly checked out manager who knows how boring the work here is. There is no room for growth or skill development other than excel.
You can do literally a whole day without seeing anyone in your team, division, or department. You are busy for 2 weeks then have absolutely, literally, nothing to do for another 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

Just relocate this job offshore honestly. You are hiring kids with MASTERS degrees and paying them diddly squat and they are performing data entry. This is not a real job for someone looking to have any sort of career.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of growth opportunities, 401k plan, insurance, leadership is TRYING to do the right thing moving forward

    Cons

Leadership waited too long to impose change, currently lacking direction, in the news every other week, customers don't appreciate hearing bad news about their bank, incentives for hard working and honest people are now gone. CEO gave himself a 35% raise while employees received less than 1%. sad to see such a strong company falling apart.

    Advice to Management

good luck because you need it. Change for the better has negatively impacted the "team members"

    Pros

    16 weeks paid parental leave
Often become like family with coworkers
    Relatively easy job

    Cons

Managers don't have the power to "up" one employees pay if they go above and beyond. Getting a merit raise is nearly impossible even after years of service

Benefits are great and the salary is competitive in the banking field. There are no more sales goals which is great

    Cons

I can not think of any cons at the moment. They have made alot of changes for the better of the employees as well as customers.
