I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is good compared to other companies
No sales goals, very customer service oriented
    Bank hours and holidays
Depending on your manager you will have job opportunities

    Cons

After you get to branch manager position is really hard to get anywhere else, hard to get out of retail banking
Upper management is full of people that had good numbers when sales goals existed, but don’t have degrees or real leadership training, they do it more based on their personalities and their knowledge of operating the branch.
Staffing is bad sometimes, they said is full staffed but you can tell that’s inaccurate.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully you review this, if so please review your parameters to call a branch full staffed because some of the branches aren’t. Give importance to education when hiring retail branch employees, customers really think you need a degree to work in a bank, so let’s focus in meeting their expectations.

    Pros

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Treat employees equally don’t talk about them behind their back to bankers and other lead tellers it’s ridiculous no one should have to go to work and feel depressed they should feel happy

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    They do provide decent benefits

    Cons

Wells Fargo expects their employees to work 7 days a week for 10-12 hours a day and be able to be contacted while on vacation. They have no concept of work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to work/life balance. Since you are a national company realize that your East Coast employees have a family life after 5 pm. The West Coast employees tend to set meeting for 3 and 4 pm pacific time.
