I worked at Wells Fargo for more than a year

    Pros

There would be campus wide activities to bring together like minded individuals to participate in team activities; takes the mind off work for a bit.

    Cons

Changes were made for the sake of "a change." Change control process fruition takes a long time. By the time the change control has been implemented, it is time to make a change again because it would have been irrelevant.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The pay isn't bad and they're ALWAYS hiring for something. PTO is generous, most managers at the lower-management level are very understanding.

    Cons

The corporate culture is very plastic and fake; you don't actually get the sense that any of the highest up actually cares about their employees. Things about your job that don't make sense will either not change, or take months to change for seemingly no reason.

    Cons

They work you until you drop

  4. "New managers don't know how to manage!"

Former Employee - Mortgage Quality Assurance Analyst in San Antonio, TX

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great atmosphere and diversity at a great campus.

    Cons

Too much gossip..and tenured employees don't hardly really work they are too busy visiting each other.

    Advice to Management

Have managers be trained to be on the same page. What is important to one manager in the hiring process should be the same across the board when hiring for managers they should first meet to see what is the most important thing they are looking for in that individual.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Wells Fargo for less than a year

    Pros

Opportunity to work overtime to earn some decent money.

    Cons

Contract employees have no benefits, no paid holidays, and don't earn vacation time. I started this job 9 months ago via a temp agency with the promise of going permanent after 3 months. Out of 28-30 people in my training class, only 3 people have been offered jobs to date.

    Advice to Management

On a scale of 1-5, it is unfair that contract employees have to maintain a 4/5 in both quality and production for extended rating periods to be considered for a position, when direct employees are required to maintain a 3 rating.

    I worked at Wells Fargo

    Pros

Because WF is a financial services company, not just a bank, there are many diverse jobs availabe and WF encouranges hiring from within. Career advancement is supported and employees are encouraged to take advantage of educational opportunities, both internal and external. The company holds to the highest ethical standards, which made me proud to work there; regulatory restrictions often made providing great customer...

    Cons

WF is actually a conglomerate of companies. While an effort was (and is) being made to create "One Wells Fargo", this has not been fully realized. Customers assume WF is one entity, but internally responsibilities are divided, and sometimes shared, between various divisions. This creates frustration for customers with issues and inefficiencies in problem resolution. The retail sales environment hinders the development...

    Advice to Management

Adopt the "Good to Great" strategy for running the company. That means first getting rid of those managers that do not believe in the principles that make a company great and replacing them with people who do. Overhaul Retail Sales so that bankers stay, develop the depth of knowledge needed to be true bankers, and can build long-term relationships with customers. (Customers have noticed the "revolving door" of ever-changing...
