I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits. Could be fun and once your efficient its a pretty easy job. You become friends with those who come in.

    Cons

Management push to only sell. Bonuses were based primarily on sales and you would lose it for not wanting to sale improperly.

    Advice to Management

Dont push good employees away or overshadow them.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good place to learn about banking system. Busy and alive environment. Good benefits and many opportunities to grow fast.

    Cons

Too sales oriented. Branch managers put too much pressure as i am sure they are pressured by district managers as well. Same topics over and over during meetings.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company provides great benefits (i.e. health insurance, employee discounts etc). There are multiple job opportunities which allows ample opportunity to advance within the company.

    Cons

The bank side places high sales pressure on their employees resulting in high stress and unethical employees. At times, it can feel like you are "just a number" to the company.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to your employees, don't scare them in to silence

    Cons

    Selling of products is insane.

    Take it easy on sales.

I have been working at Wells Fargo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good hours, good pay, great benefits. Usually fosters a positive work environment. Stay away from retail though, I hear its pretty miserable.

    Cons

Still corporate. Can be a lot of dumb procedures or things not very clear to follow. Managers can sometimes not be aware on what your job actually entails.

    Advice to Management

Work on encouraging managers to be more involved on a personal level and less constrained to their office.

    Pros

Great opportunity for growth and advancement, especially if you're willing to relocate to a larger city within the US.

    Cons

Goals are always waaaaaaaaaaaaay above what's attainable, and go up 10% each year. If you reach the goal, it wasnt set high enough for you.

Long hours, little care about life outside of work, no time adjust days for working 9 hours on Saturdays.

    Advice to Management

Try to support PTO, rather than making people feel guilty for investing time in their personal life.

  9. "Good place to learn sales and profiling."

    Pros

Great pto, 4 weeks the first year. Match 100% for the first 6% of 401k. If you can learn to sell and profile here it will serve you well in future sales jobs. Pay is good for what I do, unfortunately not a lot of growth potential for your career.

    Cons

Serious lack of career growth. Very very large sales plan, feel sorry for the Wachovia people when they see our sales plan. Push products on people they might not necessarily want, can be a very pushy sales environment.

    Advice to Management

Management at the very top is really good. Most branch managers are good but are pushed along with everyone else to produce sales.
